John, Thank you ! thank you ! thank you ! Been looking for a while now on RUclips how to put up a roof rack, i have an Auto sleeper, for no reason and still unexplained, they put bars on top, that you can't use them, its just for show, odd. You have helped solved my problem re awning. Cheers.
You could put 3000 watt solar roof deck up on the roof which would could power just about everything and or a drone landing dock so that Amazon could deliver More beer by drone when camping completely off grid but now the roof rack is there it gives you so many options even a couple of mini wind turbines etc
How long before John or date buys a trailer for their campervans? Just seen a vlog on the Momentum 397th It has a kitchen island and two bathrooms and electrically raised bed and loads of gadgets on it You could put a settee and chairs or full sized hammock or a planning room up on the roof
Hi John, great vid and information, thanks for sharing. I also note you got the money shoot of you standing on the Fiamma ladder cheers for that. Also at 6min 20sec it looks though you have grown an extra hand form you nether region ;> Best wishes.
Great video John. I don't suppose you know if those little brackets that hook around the van roof lugs are available separately? I couldn't quite make out the part number when I paused you video. Cheers!
Great video! I'm trying to get a roof rack fixed without spending an insane amount of money, they only thing I really need is the little bracket that sits over the little lug nuts "'nodule' if you like". Does anyone know If there is anywhere I can buy just a set of them?
Hi John, Mandy, Coop. Hope you are all well. I really like the way Fiamma uses extruded alloy to build a system of racking, very clever. I like your upgrades but i think i'd prefer a stowable ladder. I was wondering if you could get a flexible portable solar panel which would fit inside the front windscreen when you're parked up? Van's looking super. Thanks for sharing. Stay safe and keep up the good work. 👍🖖🐶🦴
Dear John, I've been looking at your videos for several months, especially the DIY for improving your camper van. Keep up the good work in sharing your knowledge. I have an additional question. Do you experience any negative effects of installing a roof rack, for example, extra wind noise? Greetings
Thank you for making this video John - I have been looking for something similar for a Fiat MH2 camper van. Can you give me a rough idea how far proud the cross bars sit from the top of the roof ie. what is the gap from the top of the roof to the bottom of the cross bars? Also, can you buy more of the moveable cross bars from Fiamma? Many thanks - Ian
John can I ask - can the cross rails be moved or are they in fixed position? I say as I've got roof fan and rooflights installed already and wondering if they'll fit
HI Jon , yet again a great easy to understand step by step guide, your MH / Camper has great upgrades , bet you can't wait to get on the road trip
Great job. Improvise and overcome the challenges is essential in van builds and modifications.. Nice one John.
Good work. Also love how impeccably clean you keep your van including the roof! 😊
I just figure cleaning is a good way of uncovering potential issues and also helps prevent them too 👍🏼
Completely agree. I’ll be honest, I enjoy cleaning both my car and caravan. It’s a pride thing for me.

Loved the way you modified the awning brackets 👍 very clever 😊 ... 🤗❤️👵🏼🐾🐾🤠

Oh yes, the gloves I put over the top of my ladder to prevent it marking the van 😜

No wind noise at all.
Hi John, did the roofrack have any/much clearance over the rooflight?

We don’t have this van any more, you should be able to guess the gap from the video though.
just a quick one john, did you use tie wraps to fasten down the waffle boards or are they permanently fixed.
stay safe , have fun . thanks for sharing
I didn’t fit waffle boards, at least not yet.
John can I ask - can the cross rails be moved or are they in fixed position? I say as I've got roof fan and rooflights installed already and wondering if they'll fit
Yes they can, just loosen the end bar screws and move the rails along.
Thanks John
hi , also the kit roof rail is included in roof rack ? thanks
The kit includes 4 moveable cross bars 👍🏼
Another neat job 👌👍👍👍, what solar panels have you gone for bud ?
I nearly went and copied your idea bud, but I got an amazing deal on a standard 360w for £125 👍🏼
@@johnmandy 👀 you can't go wrong for that price bud nice one 👌👍.
That’s brilliant John do they make them to fit Sprinters ?🤓👍
No, they seem to be only make them for a small number of vans. The Rhino rooftack that Dave has is great. See you soon 👍🏼
