      @@TatroMachine bro I dunno about any dumbass if anyone could fix engines then mechanics wouldn't exist, I am a pretty decent car mechanic and to me pretty much anyone in theory should be able to fix a broken say head gasket using a manual or internet but then you have Tappets there are solids,and hydraulic lifters, then shim adjustment and side valve then adjustable push rods so it is easy to make mistakes.

    i came across your videos looking for videos for a little help on a few things ive been doing on my bike and ive spent more time watching your videos over the past few days than working on my bike I haven't seen anyone else that has the knowledge you have and also makes great videos on some detailed work from tune ups to whole engine builds also some humor in there too keep up the great work

    Here's the thing I don't understand. If I had a shop like this guy, and I owned all the parts, bolts, washers, nuts, lock washers, tempered bolts, you get my drift, I still couldn't walk to and find them as fast as he does. I need a 2 3/4" bolt with a tapered shank Tatro. Dude is like, give me 2 seconds and he walks right to the spot, and usually picks it out of like Eleventy Hundred Million bolts on the second or third try. I'd be like, "finish prepping and painting your gas tank, I'll be back in a bit with that head bolt in a little while"

    Sometimes talking to some folks in a certain way gives them a better learning experience.....some folks are "Hard Headed". I would not mind working with Taro for a week or two,...would love to learn more about bikes.

    Great instructional video my only problem with this whole thing is the way the guy talking talks to his mechanic. Might seem like he’s teaching but mostly he sounds condescending. My boss ever talk to me like that I find a new shop to work in.

    • @charleylc
      @charleylc 6 лет назад +1

      I don't think he's Tatro's mechanic. More likely is the guy is Tatro's customer (the guy that bought the engine) and Tatro is "assisting" him with assembling the engine.

  • @Wooley689
    @Wooley689 6 лет назад +1

    I can have 12,0987 fasteners on hand and somehow the one I need isn't in the bins anywhere. Oh, and the missing tools because somebody "borrowed" them and didn't put them back so you spend a damn hour searching for it to do a three minute job.

      The title of the video says, "Evo", so I thought it was a Harley Evo motor. That's why I asked. I wasn't criticizing,. I'm not as experienced as some of your viewers and I was honestly trying to learn something. Your reply was unnecessarily sarcastic.

    • @TatroMachine
      @TatroMachine  4 года назад +5

      boy, i did not even call you a dumbass. you need to get some thicker skin if you are going to stay with harleys.
      my videos do not say stock rebuilds because i do not do those. an evo is a slang word for a type of harley motor. harley never used these type descriptions, only harley riders do. my responses are direct and to the point and that is how i like it. if you can't take the truth you should go elsewhere. your education is lacking but that is expected on newbees.

      @@TatroMachine Tatro you bring me back to the best years in my life. A man, much like you, taught me to wrench on my own rides, he also introduced me to men who specialised in the way they worked on bikes. I miss those days and your videos are very satisfying to watch, and by proxy, be part of. Thank You Sir

      You wouldn't happen to know where I could pick up the right side engine case for a '91 Electra Glide Sport FLHS. The Dumbass who gave me the engine had cranked down on one of cylinder bolts which got mashed up in the threads and cracked the right side case right thru to the cylinder. Just thought to ask, you never know, right?
