- Roaming Form Gimmighoul and Gholdengo are now available in Pokémon GO! It takes 999 Gimmighoul Coins to evolve Gimmighoul to Gholdengo, but I figured out a secret to getting them faster!

It's worth noting that golden lure modules could be NUTS at an event like go fest. Especially if they work for everyone and multiple people have them

@@JonSuperKnife probably because a lure is usable by everyone and an incense is only used by one person. If a bunch of stops have golden lures going it would be great for harvesting gimmighoula and coins.
@@JonSuperKnife also because at events there’s typically a lure extending boost. So like a 3 hour module would be super beneficial

that's the point I believe. On Switch it's also one of the most difficult evolution methods
@@rustamtalibzade6989 on scarlet and violet you actually can’t catch roaming form, just the chest form. It’s the chest form that you evolve to gholdengo. That said, if lots of people use golden lures on comm day maybe we can all get one then. :)
glad to see it worked for you. i went for a walk straight after the presents and gimmighoul wouldnt show on the map and you couldnt click on the pokemon's page. I managed to catch 9 using my autocatcher but only got 2 coins
To everyone asking how to get Gimmighoul if you don't own a Switch:
Either find someone who does because they ARE tradeable, or,
If you don't personally know anyone, just keep your eyes out for a golden lure. If someone in your area does have SV, gets a golden lure from it and puts it down, there is a chance (however tiny) you might encounter a Gimmighoul at that stop.
Those are currently the only two ways to obtain it if you do not own a Switch & S/V.
(Edit: Plus, if someone did drop a golden lure, maybe they're sticking around that stop themselves for the coins and you can meet a new friend and trade for one of theirs ^^)
Do we have confirmation that others can get Gimmighoul from it? ie. not just the one who lured it?
I don’t have pokeportal listed in my switch settings; how do you get it?
@@cwenwflute It's in the menu of Scarlet and Violet, not your Switch itself. It's where you do link trades, wondertrades, mystery gift etc.

I wish the Golden poke stops would stay in Pokémon for a week.
Those should be a permanent feature. I'd actually prefer that over getting spammed by Team Rocket, which actually decreases the amount of items you can receive from a stop.

Not playing Scarlet & Violet here, not even owning a Switch! Do you think the Ghimmighouls from Golden lures will be available to us non-Switchers? Or are we simply flat-out screwed?
Probably screwed. Same with Meltan. I don't think there was ever another way to get it unless you connected it to your switch and Pokemon Home.

@@omiwancanoli7851 Well, the Meltan Box I can use, as I simply created a Nintendo account and I can send Pokémons to HOME...
You can make a Nintendo account without owning a Nintendo game system that's how I got my Meltan box. I connected my pokemon go account and pokemon home to the same Nintendo account it's my own account and I don't own a Nintendo game system. You can look up how to make a Nintendo account without a Nintendo game system and it will give you instructions on how to do it. That's how I got my Meltan box. I haven't opened it in awhile because I have all the candies and candy XL I need to max my Melmetal and Meltan when I reach level 40 and can actually start to max my pokemon.
You don’t need a switch to get a meltan box. I’m hoping they will eventually make it possible to get the gimighoul without one, too.

Does anyone know about this new bag item and how it affects the Bag storage amount? Currently from what I can tell, the Gimmighoul Coins take up bag space and I REALLY don't want to spend coins to get 1,000 more item slots just for this.

I spun stops for about 8 hours today and got 2. About half the time a gold stop was in reach. I don't have Scarlet/Violet so I wonder if having done an interaction with the Switch game boosted your odds.

Nick, are you not using the native refresh rate in advanced settings of the game? It's so much faster and smoother. Also downloading all assets speeds up the game and uses hardly any data.

Does anyone know if the effects of the golden lure module work for everyone like the other lure modules do or will it only work for the person putting it down? As there is a rare chance of gimmighoul spawning off it, then players who don't have a switch or the games can still potentially get this pokémon
I'm assuming anyone stopping by the lure will have a chance to find one but we'll have to see someone get one to confirm I guess! At least they are tradeable so that's good too!

Apparently if you keep the lure module but send another postcard, you'll get some coins instead. Not sure how many, but this could be a big help.
question! since u can play both SV on 1 switch , do we get 2 coin bags? (for 2 different PoGO accounts). or its just 1 switch 1 bag?

By the way, do you know if "multiple postcards" mean multiple in one day, or over more than one day? You get the box only once per day, so usually I probably wouldn't send multiple postcards in one day

over more than one day, ur only allowed one postcard a day and i also heard u cant send the same postcard twice since ur able to keep them. everytime u send the postcard u get the coin bag and it goes away at midnite at the end of everyday and then u repeat the next day to keep getting it.

@@chelsey9989 Well, that's one of the main requirements. You need a Switch with Scarlet/Violet and a phone with Pokemon GO.
It doesn't have to be your Switch though. You could also ask someone you know.
What if someone doesn't play MSG? I don't have a switch, how can I get the goldengo? It was so annoying to get melmetal for years and now they have done the same with goldengo.

At first, I was excited about gimmeghoul but i have no patience to collect 999 coins 1 at a time. And then when you evolve it, you have to recollect the coins to evolve again

I got 30 Gimmighoul in my lure while on my way home from vacation and only managed to catch 2. All the rest shook once and fled. Razz Berries and even a Gold Razz Berry with a curveball great throw didn't help. I don't know if I'm just unlucky af or if they've heavily lowered the catch rate since

Looks like its mostly for people with easy access to a Nintendo Switch. I'll just assume that I'm going to miss out until I actually get offered one in a trade. After seeing the video I noticed a golden Pokestop 250 yards or so away from home and walked over in the night-time drizzle. No ghimmighoul (sp?) there but I caught a shiny hoot-hoot on the way back. Golden!

This update annoyed me. I had the primal rumbling (2/2) complete but it wouldn't let me claim the task, the update happens and I have to redo all three tasks for (2/2)

They do. I couldn't collect the box this morning because I was full on bag space.
They didn't take up any additional space in my bag. i checked before and after.

You can do it once you've gotten to the first Pokemon center.
As a Pokemon Scarlet/Violet player lemme tell you this...Gholdengo is a MONSTER in the game! It is easier to get 999 coins in Pokemon Scarlet/Violet compared to Pokemon Go though! Probably get all coins in about 2 hours!

I never had a switch for meltan either just had friends that did. If you have friends that play pogo ask them if they play the switch games and ask them for the bag.

Does the amount 999 contribute to the total bag count?

Now the real question is. If I play through a rando profile to the point where you can do it. Would I be able to give another coin bag to a friend? Or is the " one a day " firm.
While pokemon go account can only send one a day, a game on switch can receive postcards from as many accounts as you like.
I'm so bad with excellent throws... especially on small Pokémon. This is going to take me a while.
