6:25 I believe you're correct. Due to some bug a while back, there was a *very* small window where shadow shiny Snubbull, Swinub, Skorupi and Poochyena were available 😂

I think you just illustrated how "scammy feeling" pokemon go's "events" are. I am still bitter about Pidgey Pandemonium, more like some more pidgey than normal
Glad to see Nick out and about playing Pogo. This tine for grunts. Right now there are no major events so a grunt beat down is the way to go to take out the frustration. LoL

They made the component quests far more common than previous years. Got 6 radars (spent 3 meaning 9 all up) and 5 components. I did all that while sick too

His balloon Cliff was a Larvitar lol. Balloons were the only way to get the new leader rotation on day 1
the Lana plane showing up in the background / being audible in every shot was hilarious
FYI If you are interested in the stats around the odds of getting a shiny larvitar and let’s be optimistic say that the shiny rate is 1/64 and that there’s no other factor that influences the odds, then to have a 90% chance of at least one shiny larvitar requires you to encounter Cliff 150 times (if the rate is 1/500 then this increases to 1200!!)

For ANY leader:
Swampert Lucario Venusaur.
Swap into lucario right of the bat to get both shields down.
I haven't seen a leader which could resist this team.

Honestly yes,
Leader pass two turns after a switch or a charged attack. So spam power up punch to get shield down.
So switch right off the bat to lucario. (Mine is 2500cp).
Swampert and venu are level 50 100%.

Yes. As long as the shadow pokemon you encounter has had a shiny shadow released previously, it can be shiny
0/76 shadow shinies in the last cycle, and 0/21 so far in this one.
0/46 now this cycle. Gonna be fun to keep coming back here to wallow in my miserable luck 😅
0/77, already broke the record of the last cycle. Also no Galarian birds for ~ 2 months, running it daily for the full 15 minutes worth of spawns. Niantic is doing a great job. 🤡

there has indeed been a bug with grunts since march began, you will not know if a stop has a grunt on it unless you get in range of the stop. basically you cant even hunt them without being close to them, the fact that not only they had the TAKEOVER event take place with the bug unfixed, but even a month later its still ongoingm, is laughable.

Shiny shadow Pokemon from grunts should be the hardest also the lowest shiny rate.
This is a fun event but kinda annoying when you can't pick a pokemon near a stop that has rocket grunts

Even more rarely you will also find where it's none of the Pokemon that were used in the battle for a grunt. It's happened to me at least three times.
Cliff really feels harder to find than the other leaders this period
i swear niantic drops the appearance rates of leaders with the best shadow encounters, cause i couldnt get a sierra for the longest time last rotation, and ive gotten arlo after arlo this season

did 280/no shadow shinys. 4 pure 100s, probably played 30-40 hours during this event. towards the end got a few pansear and a pansage, along with some random full odds shinys like mareep.
I find it hilarious people think by not playing will change anything with Niantic how about delete the game from your device because they will still gain data from it being on your phone and deleting the app doesn't delete your account.

I found a shadow hundo from grunts before I found any shadow shinies from any rocket battles, only have 1 shadow shiny and is mewtwo from raids

I got really lucky during the rocket event I got shiny shadow grimer after 3 of the poison grunt and shiny shadow larvitar after 8 cliffs from balloons

I did about 100 battles each day during event. And only caught one shiny shadow bulbasaur.

edit: i was only doing the grunts who gives starters and cliff. So around a hundred of these each day.

i got shadow shiny larvitar, i evolved it into a tyranitar, which is like 2600 cp atm.
and, i got a shadow shiny aipom maybe a week ago.
That's rough dude, I managed a shiny murkrow from Sierra during the takeover. Didn't have great stats, and was the one I wanted the least, but it is kind of cool with the purple color and purple smoke

I too had terrible luck with the grunts and the leaders. With the wild spawns it was a lot better I got a 3 shiny dittos, shiny caterpie, starly, corphish, onix, galatian stunfisk, and roggenrola

Its pretty rough especially considering that maximum theres 12 new shiny shadows a year but realistically its probably more like 8 because they always give one leader a repeat so its still going to be a long while before you can realistically shiny hunt from grunts

At least you don’t have to pay to find and fight team rocket grunts and leaders. Much less frustrating than raiding and hatching eggs to get some specific Pokémon.

Well as someone who just did over 300 grunts while grinding lvl 46 beat 50 leaders mission i didnt get a single shadow shiny from a grunt... I did get one shadow shiny aerodactyl tho from cliff with kinda ok pvp ivs lol but yea terrible rates for sure prob base 1/500+ if hasnt already been confirmed by now.
