I have both the Balloon Stack Heislers, Old TMCC Meadow River Lumber Company 6 from 2003 and the New Legacy Demo Heisler 3 from 2016. They’re both amazing locomotives, and so much fun to watch :)
Nice Review of Both CASS SCENIC RR Heislers. I have and prefer the TMCC Version over the Legacy. I've ridden #6 and to me the TMCC Version sounds about like it. Especially the Whistle.
@@SRRC245 Have you ever Ridden Heisler #6? The last few years it has been used as the Durbin Rocket since their Climax went down. I rode it at CASS. Been to CASS lots of times. Looks like I seen a really nice Shay in your video. You doing any videos on it? We've done some videos on our Heisler Lionel and K Line Shays and our MTH Climax. We Love the Logging Part of Model Railroading.

@@SRRC245That, and the incandescent lightbulbs compared to the LEDs we see in modern Legacy engines since early 2011. I don't recall any steam locomotive running with LED lighting back in the day.

There are definitely some desirable PROs on the TMCC version that the Legacy does not have. The road specific towercom is truly irreplaceable
