      In my country, finding any information that even half way resembles the truth is always a gamble. I don't even know if I can trust the dem size table on the "official" Nike web site.
      I own a pair of Turkey's biggest outdoor name brand, Greyder, in size 41, and then some Asics in 42.5. Then I'm hearing that Nikes run small. And just jumping in a car and going to a Nike store is not an option for me.

    The problem with recent knitted performance shoes like Lebron 15, KD10 or Hyperdunk 17 is that they'll feel tight and narrow out of the box, but after playing in them a couple of times, they will stretch quite a bit, maybe even to half a size up. In Nike casual shoes, I always wear size 11, but in the above mentioned basketball shoes, I gotta go to 10.5 because of how much they stretch in width over just a couple of games.

  • @saulgoodman2018

    Measuring your foot doesn't work. They don't take into account the thickness of the materials. These companies measure the bottom of the bole, not the inside. So they con be a 2 or 3 inch difference. And different brands fit differently with the same size.

  • @kssnyder2
    @kssnyder2 7 лет назад +7

    Whenever I sold shoes and we had that fancy foot measuring device, but we never used it because no shoe would fit in the size we would measure people. NONE. The size discrepancies between brands is insane, up to a size and a half in some cases.

  • @Crashoverride1234
    @Crashoverride1234 4 года назад +4

    The thumb rule is also important because of the shoe is too small and your toes push against the front it can compromise the shape of the front of the shoe and stretch it. My ASICS material is ripping from my foot busting through it.

    The thing about the fingers width is its not for everybody cause sometimes it compromises the support or snug feel around the ankles n ur feet could be sliding around and heel slightly lifting out. To me just aslong as the big toe has enough room even if it a little bit or half fingers width is good enough for me.

    Everyone has different answer to what “True to size” means! I’m 24 years old and up until 23 I was a 10.5. Now I’m convinced I’m a size 11. Size 10.5 my foot fills the entire shoe, my toes aren’t curled, but there’s no extra room. I know that’s better for creasing but comfort is huge for me and I just recently started copping exclusively size 11 and have size swapped the most important shoes in my collection to size 11. But to this day I’m still not sure what my true size is, to society I think I’m an 11, but I bet alot of sneaker heads would tell me to cop 10.5s 🤦‍♂️

      i feel you man! when i look at the nike sizing chart i'm an exact size 10.5. for example trying on a new pair AM1s my feet fill out the whole shoe, little to no space in the toe box. the shoes feel like too narrow on the widest points of my feet (especially the right one). i have the feeling that the sole underneath is too narrow. when i go up half a size however i have like a thumb room in the toe box, but the whole shoe feels to loose overall. it feels comfortable when sliding in but does not feel like my feet are locked in place correctly. the ankle is moving, i can move the front part of my feet easily underneath the upper. the only way to stop this is to wear thick tennis socks and tighten the laces like crazy.

    People say it's thumb size but it's technically 10~13mm based on the Podiatrists. That is optimal space for the wiggle room. Measure heel to toe length and add 10mm to the longest toe of the longest foot of both feet.

    Ditto.. online is hard to order correct size. Jordan sizes vary from shoe to shoe - even if it is the same model. I've tried on two different pair of new york 3s from different stores and they fit differently.
    You really need to try the shoe on before you buy. But, I Still buy from stockx all the time because I can't find the shoe or shoe size I want. Most times you can always re-sell the shoe.
    A thumb width in the front is way too much room for me. I trip all over the shoe when I play with a shoe that is too big. I usually want half a thumb's width room in the front part of the shoe.

    I wear 9 in all of my Jordan's, comfortably. Is a 9.5 going to fit me in Yeezy 350 V2 in Beluga and Blue Tint? They are on their way to me now, just not sure if I made the right decision on sizing.

    hey man, need some advice. what about ark? I have flat feet and thinking about trying the ultra boost. but maybe I may need to get custom arks done for my flat feet to put in a shoe? it seems the ultra boost is the most comfortable shoe according to reviews and comments but.... isn't the ultra boost a running shoe? I heard a running shoe is lighter and bend easier and a walking shoe is more comfortable because it's heavier and doesn't bend as much. I like the running style though. if NO on ultra boost any everyday walking shoe that has that running style? lime maybe balance, puma, sketches? Seems walking shoes look more dress up and i wear jeans and shorts all the time.

    US Men's Size 13 for most shoes. I have found that it also helps or hurts with replicas.. Few replicas are made in size 13 or bigger. Nike Foamposites seem to fit small but I heard that Air Max 97s run big.

    Is it better to have a shoe that’s skin tight to your foot or having a shoe that’s a little too big for your toes to reach?

    You're right, my feet are different. One has the thumb on the right side and the other has the thumb on the left side *mindblown*
    Jokes aside, a single foot can change size during the day, your feet swell noticeably if you sit down for too long without moving, if you walk standing up without walking this also happens. This is why the rule of thumb is important.
