It's design sells it for me (matte version). It's awesome, no dumb hole-punch or cutout cameras - just a beautiful, clean screen. And it's sleek rectangular form is perfect(+ it has a nuclear reactor under the hood). Love it!

I'm happy after 23 hours off usage. Have been able to play pubg for 2-3 hours and it's so smooth that a have to adjust some in game settings. Brightness is way better now, my old one was the Redmagic 5G, big difference 👍👏👏👏

I'm not much of a smartphone gamer, but I'm a sucker for uninterrupted, notchless displays, headphone jacks and high refresh rates. As of now, there are only 38 phones in the world with these 3 basic features, and only ONE with the aforementioned features coupled with a screen-to-body ratio nearing 90% - yep, it's this baby thanks to its under-display selfie cam.
And to top it all off, this beast costs half the price of most flagships out there, just 650EU. Thank God I waited out the whole ugly notch mania and kept my dear OnePlus 5T for whole 5 years. OIS on Redmagic's main camera would've been appreciated but hey, nothing is perfect in this world.
GG Redmagic, you've made one beauty of a phone for a sane price. Compared to most overpriced junk out there, this one is a keeper for sure. I can't wait to see what Redmagic has in store for us in the future. A non-gamer phone having the same beautiful screen and some cool features like OIS and IP68, + a bit more emphasis on the cameras will blow most phones out of the water.

Happy with my Redmagic 7S Pro (Mercury Version) so far. Not interested in an upgrade since the 7S Pro is still relevant and powerful.
I like the design much more on the 7 series too. "- Simple and futuristic design" is my main and only problem with the Redmagic 8 Pro.
The edged, rectangular corners giving it a more boxed shape is nice but the actual backplate and plain safe colors (essentially two types of black) is what makes me not in a rush to get this.
If Team Red releases a Redmagic 8S Pro with the Pulsar color scheme from the standard Redmagic 7 I'm going to purchase that no questions.

I wouldn’t use it outside if it’s raining it’s not water proof or resistant but it by far is the best phone in the world in my opinion

Guys the screen is water repellant as gorilla glass 5 so it will be good in raining. But yeah be careful on extreme raining conditions
I've been using the RM 5G for 3 years and never had anu compilation with it. Now I bought the RM 8pro, arrived yesterday and I'm happy with after 21 hours. Have been able to game for 2-3 hours last night and it's way smoother than the previous one. Don't worry, you'll be fine.

Hope they gonna start improving on the cooling system... I noticed having the fan on doesnt help at all with cooling when playing a game. I feel like It does help with charging at high speeds tho. I have the 5 and the 7 and they both overheat really fast. But good luck redmagic I'm rooting for you, hopefully the 8 will be cooler 😎
The cooling has been great since the 4th phone
no idea, how the fan doesnt help with cooling at all. i have a 7s pro and the difference of having the fan on and off is really noticeable (warm without fan on and ice-cold with fan on)
The reason, why for example the normal rm 7 overheats, is because its processor (snapdragon 8 gen 1) overheats. Qualcomm fixed that starting with the sd 8+ gen 1 (which the 7s pro has).

FPS stay permanently on 60 - 61 fps
I have the 7. In my experience, the fan makes alot of difference. For example when I play Wild Rift, it might not seem a demanding game as genshin but it actually is. There is a lot of dynamics in this game that requires too much processing. I run the hame at 120fps high settings. Without the fan I can see the fps jumps constantly. However with the fan on, it's very steady on 120. Also don't forget you have the battery bypaas option, it helps ALOT.
Also try cleaning your fans every once in a while.

Looks awesome but still won’t replace iPhone. Red magic will never do that but it’s still dope and the under camera display will eventually be on iPhone. It really comes down to software these days…Apple still has one of the best stores for all kinds of quality apps. Google play is catching up but still not there yet. The specs are wild but tbh most won’t even need that much let’s be honest. Hence why iPhone don’t have more than 12GB Ram yet but still on par with what’s going on.
Firstly, iPhones are not gaming phones, they do not need such characteristics as these phones. he needs so much RAM to run several games and applications at the same time, or play unusual applications such as java launchers for android. So that you never have drawdowns, you need to install at least 5GB of RAM.
and as for the operating system, everything is fine with it, but yes, updates are rare, but this will not affect the phone in any way if it does not receive updates every month.
Once you use an iphone there is no way to leave it, unlike an android phone we can jump ship easily..
8 pro is a gaming phone of course it has a downside on camera performance but on gaming it is far better than any iphone at the moment, this phone never throttles on longer gaming sessions and plus it can stream on TV and has full controller support. Watch TeckNick RedMagic 8 pro review

@@Gigachad-hb7ji thought this too until i actually bought the phone. water fell on mine, still worked just fine. if you really think about it, the Nintendo switch, steam deck, laptops including many other devices, are all not water resistant, yet we use them outdoors. like it really doesn't matter that much especially when it has the highest score while being more than half the cost of the s23 ultra + looking far more stylish. compromises being, selfie camera, water resistance, worse software (i see they made a reddit post asking for feedback). the pros are you save 600-700 while still having the best performance on the market, best looking design with an under display camera, shoulder triggers that are nicely hidden, built in fan, with excellent battery life. worked for 7 hours one day with location, Bluetooth, wifi, data on including a bit of genshin (maxed/60). it was like 48% left after all of that. ⭐9.5/10

Also personal anecdotes on water resistance wouldn't count. Any sort of rain or splashes will short circuit the phone permanently. A phone is meant to be a device used on the go,yet rednagic only cares about marketing the useless fan.
