    Wow. I did not expect this video from a holster company. Outstanding work. Best weapons like comparison I've seen. Olight should really talk to you while they're in product development and make your job easier and think of the end user for better holster compatibility between the lights.

    I run the Streamlight on my FNX45 in my duty holster and then I run the PL Pro on my home defense gun. The only reason I have the PL Pro is because I won it in an Olight contest, no way I’d pay for one. I still don’t get the hype with lasers though, I never used one even for night ops in the military.
    Super into these light videos from you guys though and I think everyone should watch these before purchasing a light for their pistol. Keep it up!

    Does anyone know why they don't put the laser emitter above the light LED (so it's closer to the bore axis and thus less prone to being off-target at non-zeroed distances)? Is it technical, or just corporate inertia/incompetence?

    With the baldr pro were you using olights batteries or another brand? It won't go past 300 lumens with other manufacturers batteries. I learned the hard way.... but with surefire rechargeables it's actually brighter than using the olight batteries and stays brighter for longer.

      In this video, I said you need holsters specifically for the Baldr Pro R. That is true. We designed those holsters, including room for the bezel that is larger than the lights that came before, and the Valkyrie Turbo & PL-Pro both happen to fit in this design.. So we added them as compatible. Hope that helps clear up any confusion.

  • @gristelli
    @gristelli 2 года назад

    Watching some of your videos I must say that streamlight tlr 1hl seems to be one of the best choices for a fullsize pistol like the G17.
    I am a little concerned about the accidental display of light that is very common to hear about. Other concern is the amount of brightness in a closed environment, also pretty much commented by some users.
    Are those two "negative" points suficcient to avoid the tlr 1 hl?
    Thank you again for all the great videos.

    • @WerkzHolsters
      @WerkzHolsters  2 года назад +1

      Nico, I'll share my experience. For light negligent discharge, that has never been an issue for myself or those here at the shop. I would have a hard time accidentally turning it on. And even if I overrun turning off "constant on", it will immediately turn off because the overrun area is momentary. Regarding the amount of output, I have a hard time understanding the scenario. If I'm activating a light, then I'm not relying on my own night-adapted vision. If I accidentally blind myself by pointing a light into a mirror and turning it on, then I want as much light as possible when searching so that I overcome my pupils constricting. If I think the weapon light has too much output on white walls, I use umbrella or baseboard lighting. And in -all- situations with a potential assailant, I want as much blinding power in my hands as possible. That's my two cents.

    Seriously I can't stand the p365 and p365xl rails. There's no locking channel under the rail so you're reliant on shear tension and the two little tiny plastic nubs at the front to keep the light from sliding off.
    Unless you develop an attachment system that clamps along the entire surface of the rail filling it completely It won't be robust.
    Just get a tactical development group rail, which does completely fill the rail maximizing surface contact and tension, and use a compact weapon light.

      James, excellent feedback. Another option is the Icarus ACE P365, which is a full grip module. Besides being all aluminum, it does have the advantage of keeping that rail as high up as possible We have a video on which lights fit which ACE 365s. We already have some holsters for the Icarus system.

    Mediocre light, 800 peak lumens, not 1350.
    The components for zeroing the laser are sooo loose you lose your zero when you remove the Allen wrench.
