Hey Nathan, wow thank you so much for your kind words! Incredibly generous of you, and really appreciate the spotlight 😊It's such a pleasure to see you making videos again and enjoying your collecting and watching. I couldn't agree more with your sentiments about the Three Colours trilogy. One of the most fulfilling and incredible cinema journeys that I've ever had the pleasure of taking, and calling it a spiritual experience I think is spot on. (Also, I think Blue is now my favourite of the three as well, coming off my most recent re-watch, and Juliette Binoche is just astonishing in it.) Funnily enough I also had some similar thoughts about watching them with some space between, but I ended up just doing them back to back in the same day as I just couldn't help myself during my last re-watch! Making your way through Twin Peaks has also inspired me to give it ago again. I remember a few years ago I decided to dive in for the first time, but I kind of binged it and ran out of steam before I reached the end, so I never finished it or got to see Fire Walk with Me, (which I've heard nothing but the highest praise for). I definitely need to track down that boxset and take the full journey! Again thanks so much for the shoutout, and definitely look forward to hanging out and enjoying a couple pints together next time your in the UK 😄🍻
No problem, my friend. Glad to spotlight you and cannot wait to come visit the UK again and get to meet ya 🤘 Also so happy to see someone else love Kieslowski as much as I do and it's fascinating to give it space and see how that stacks up. Hope you're also enjoying some Twin Peaks yourself 🤘
I also have the Curzon release of the 3 Colours trilogy, though I have never seen them before. Very much looking forward to diving into those films at some point, and very much enjoying hearing about your film journey too!
I love the Musketeers films and agree 4 is better than 3. Farewell My Concubine should look stunning in 4k. I look forward to hearing your take on it. It is one of my favourite films of the 1990's (but another Gong Li film is my absolute favourite of the 90's).... 🏮 🏮 🏮 🏮 🏮 🏮
Question: Is "Three Colours" subtitled? I struggle with complicated dialogue in subtitled foreign films. Yes, I can keep up but for me it just takes away from the movie trying to read and keep up with the visual. I have watched the Three Musketeers and enjoyed it to my surprise. It was fun and witty and well done. I was not aware of the Four Musketeers so if you say it is even better, I am on it. The Hudsucker Proxy was interesting. I enjoyed it and only watched it because it was on TV or HBO or something and I just gave it a shot. The great cast helped a lot even though it was not exactly my cup of tea. I have to see if Twin Peaks is on any of the streaming platforms. As long as it does not suck at the end like "Lost" and "Game of Thrones" (just the ending) I will give it a look. I still need to watch "Fargo" as well. I am behind.
Hey Brian, very sorry for getting back to you late. Been a little sick as of late! But yes, it is subtitled but well work it in my book. Glad you have been enjoying some of these titles as well, even if some aren't as fanciful as others! Cheers my friend 🤘
