A great idea for the Harry Potter closet: Make that little nook beyond the normal closet portion a sweet little cozy place with fairy lights and a cozy place to sit and read or journal or just have some lofi on and relax/decompress from the day. You don't have kids now, but one day it might be handy, for you and Asa or even for a kid to be able to go have a chill time that's truly away from the normal daily things.
It didn't look like it had ventilation in there so during the hotter months it will get stuffy in there, unless they can find a way to ventilate it that's probably not the best idea sitting in a hot box basically

I saw someone recommend turning the HP closet (the back portion of it under the stairs) into a little relaxation/getaway space. I love that idea so much!! If you feel you wont really use it for that, though, I know you said you'll have extra storage space in your garage (and possibly your attic too, depending on how you want to use it) for storage, so if you have the space what my parents did in our own HP closet is a little "in house garden shed" since we dont have one outside. The first half with the hangers and stuff was for coats or things we can push to the side, and then the back half has a little table and shelving unit for gardening tools (or craft tools if youre more crafty) and extra vases and things that could be used for gift wrapping and such.

A book series that I would recommend is Daughters of Eville. It is really good. Probably one of my favorites. If you like books about magic, royal kindoms, Fey creatures, romance, and elements of different fairy tail stories then this is the book series for you.
For the master closet, I really recommend Elfa closet solutions from the container store- exceptional quality and really customizable- also pretty affordable! I've used them for several different stages of adulting thus far, and loveeee them
Omg I know under the stairs is meant for storage, but it would be so cool if it was transformed into a little library and it had a bunch of fairy lights in there and it was just complete comfy vibes.
My boyfriend and I are currently building a house (self build, subcontracting everything) and it is easily the most stressful experience I have ever dealt with!! But seeing you doing snow angels on the floor in your new home gives me hope that we’ll get there eventually 🥹
