    When you video, it would make it easier to "see" the object if you don't move the camera so fast and so close to said object.

    Beautiful car, Until you put it on the lift, it was such a disappointment to see the beautiful artistry was not carried over to the undercarriage. Come on guy's for the money this car should be a rotary cherry

    This is my all time favorite factory built GM muscle car. These and the 62 409/409 Bel Air. Love those big sleepers from Chevrolet, and I'm a Mopar guy when it comes to muscle cars

    The majority of the big block Biscaynes you see today are clones, they started out as six cylinder or maybe small block cars. The real ones were bought mostly by law enforcement agencies so sadly few remain today. I suspect many were bought at auctions soully for the engine.

    • @jeremythompson9122
      @jeremythompson9122 4 года назад

      Law enforcement used pretty much all 4 door sedans. I doubt all that many if any 427 Biscaynes were ordered by law enforcement agencies. If any they were probably the 335 horse version or maybe the 390 horse version...both of which had hydraulic lifters. Solid lifter engines like the 427/425 hp were way too high maintenance for fleet use. They needed the valves adjusted every few thousand miles. Most police cars probably accumulated that many miles in a month. Most of the 427/425 hp cars likely went to drag racers and got either chopped up or wrecked

    The only sleeper is the dude narrating. How about an age appropriate salesman who actually drove this year and model when new? That’s the person who can DESCRIBE the car.

    This car's original interior was taxi cab plain in '66. The interior of this car has been substantially upgraded with newer materials. Genuine leather seating was unavailable on full sized Chevys during this period. Leather became available on Caprice Classics in 1986

      True the Biscayne was the "economy" model . It was for fleets and police cars. I also thought the Biscayne only had the 283 or the 6 cylinder.

    • @garymckee8857

      Yes they ruined the interior.

    Back a bunch of years ago, when I was eighteen y/o, I ran across a deal on a 5-year-old 63 Chevy Impala SS, with some serious engine problems, 409/425 w/2 4bbl carbs, 4-speed trans. To make a long story short it sucked a valve which fell down in the cylinder and destroyed a piston and sleeve, I rebuilt the complete engine and had a lot of fun for that following summer. I'd like to see one of those if you ever run across one you could do a short show on. Mine was all white had red interior with bucket seats. I've thought about looking for another one to fix up, it's going to be expensive, I know. Thank's for sharing your videos, I really enjoy them. I'm going to subscribe, like, and click on the bell.

      My first car was a 67 Biscayne, I was 16 , living in Richmond Virginia, I tried a "hippie van " out, but dad didn't like it because it had nothing in front of you but windshield, the Chevy had 30,000 miles , plain, no radio , but dad knew about cars , he said,. Chevy or nothing, so it became my first car.three on tree, I had never drove anything with gears, I sat in guys driveway , learned how the shifter worked, took off through Richmond and made it home, dad said ..Hell..Can't you buy a radio..And I did ..Put in in, I came to love that car, I went everywhere..It had a 250 inline six..Easy on Gas..

    Most came with 283 or 327 409 but a 427 now your talking with a four speed I had a 66 best riding car with leaf springs and I wish gm would still make them

    • @deanwilliams867
      @deanwilliams867 5 лет назад

      FYI from 1958 on they were coil spring with trailing arms until the 90s when the full-sized Chevys were discontinued not leaf spring cars ! Have a good day☺

      They stopped making the 409 halfway through the 1965 model year and it was replaced by the L78 396/425 hp as the top engine optio Then 1966 was the first year of the 427. But 1965 was the first and only year the L78 396 was available in full size Chevy's

    It was awesome.......till the door was opened .....also,....not trading your 65 master cylinder for a 67 unit with a duel reservoir is quite possibly the dumbest thing you can (not) do when spending a huge amount of money on a build, one break in that brake system, and you have NO brakes ( it costs $30 and 45 minutes of time to switch out and plumb a new line to the rear )

    • @BobbyTucker
      @BobbyTucker 5 лет назад +1

      filthbomb,
      Then, you don't have an all original 66 Biscayne, I can understand your reasoning but when one is showing a car like this it's not being raced, it's all about what it was when it rolled out of the factory.

    • @yeseniakrueger1863
      @yeseniakrueger1863 5 лет назад +1

      @@BobbyTucker this car is nothing like the one that left the factory....somebody got a plain Biscayne and added motor and trans..fake....
