My grand mother gave me one as my first car. I was 15. It was maroon in color , but had the tame 283 in it and a power glide tranny.but i still love. Its in a tobacco barn in Rocky Bottom S.C. now. Rusting away my cousin owns it and he is 66 years old.
this was my first car when I was 16, well not this car but a 66 Chevy Biscayne, it was well used and inexpensive but it was a great car, not an automatic, the shifter was on the column. Was good my first car I learned to drive with a clutch. there was a switch on the left hand corner floor that you tapped with your foot to turn your bright lights on and off. am only radio.
I believe the 427 was a RPO for the 1966 Biscayne, in both the L36 and L72 versions, so no, not a COPO. Unlike the later Camaro (where the 427 was only available via COPO ordering), anyone could order one of these from your local Chevrolet dealer.

That's the perfect Chevy enthusiast car for me.
It would be fun to build a clone car.
How much to buy this from you? My favorite car!

Super awesome!
One day I will own this car.
Beautiful! Would this be considered a COPO?
