These animals are being harvested to feed the community of people there and at the same time to keep the buffalo populations in check. It's called conservation. If you don't do this they will become diseased and it will kill off whole herds that nothing will eat. Not even the scavengers.

I hunt myself too, but killing just for fun is disgusting. If I have no place where to donate the deer meat, I don't shoot deer. My favorite hunting is when hunting for small predators, like foxes, coyotes etc but only when they start killing my fowls in broad daylight, which means they are over populating. Ethical hunting should be embraced by all hunters.

You don't know what you're talking about. I've bow hunted for over 40 years and killed a lot of game. Exclusive of bad shots, most of the time the broadhead cuts so cleanly and so quickly that the animal will often stand still or slowly walk away. I've shot deer, had the arrow pass through them and all they might do is nip at it when it hits or exits. Then they'll take a few steps and simply drop.

@@francus7227 Depends. My 'dart' doesn't kill; it's broadhead does and it's common knowledge that very often an animal will barely react to the arrow as it passes through. Predator attacks always frighten prey and the accompanying ripping and tearing add to its stress. All said, there is no easy way to die but some are easier than others.

It's water buffalo that's domesticated, not Cape buffalo. Water buffalo has always existed in the Middle East and in Asia. It's a strong potentially dangerous animal but not as dangerous as Cape buffalo which have not been domesticated.

Yes it has been domesticated in Italy they make a special cheese with the milk of the female, they call this cheese "Mozzarella".
