It's always a smoother ride coming in than going out. Nothing you can do about head seas but you can surf in with following seas. Trim up, go the same speed or a little faster than the waves and you could surf a 13' whaler in there without taking a pounding. But nothing you do is going to stop you from getting tossed around going out though.
Captain on that little cc knew just how to take that inlet. Good job. That inlet has claimed a lot of boats before.
Looks like real nail biting fun! 😎👍
Agreed with Mike Berger, those were definitely cownose rays, they swarm by the thousands and can be very acrobatic.

Unknown fish are probably “Cow Nosed Rays (Rhinoptera Bonasus)”

Looks awful on the outside too. In that boat, I would have turned too.
Check the horizon. There's your answer !
It's the other way round more challenging go out to sea easier riding the back of a wave
The Contender is a 23 Open. Not T. The 23T is really 25'
Thanks
I understand commercial fishing being out when there are white caps and really rough seas but why would anyone else wanna be in that ?
Fishing for some is an addiction...I do not understand it.
I would pass. just cause you can dont mean you should. why tear the boat up ...
