I felt the same way with tiling managers the first time I used them . From It's barebones default look and lack of settings and etc. Once you learn to rice it, it starts to look better and act better. Key-bindings opens your most frequently used programs. Right now, I am using i3 and dwm. Another cool feature is setting up your own status bar to show information most important to you.
@PenguinByte I rice my manager just enough to get it the way I like. If one over does it with ricing, it can become tedious modifying many config files for the manager, the status bar and other apps for it.
Also glad to hear you’ve switched to Fedora! For me it was and is rock solid and close to the “perfect” distro in many ways, so I hope you have a similar experience :)
Ah, last time I tried BunsenLabs which uses OpenBox (I tried it in a VM a while back), I didn't directly find anything, but maybe it's changed since then, iirc if there was any sort of settings it was split into individual apps

Yea definitely, also not really into the keybinding workflow personally but I’m feeling better about it than I did
