@@Meela9088 no this was a one off concert at the Hollywood bowl. If it makes it to Broadway, then it will be performed for 8 shows a week for however long. It would also be just like the movie but obviously on stage
Bruh, ever since I saw The Lion King on Broadway, I’ve been wondering what Encanto would be like on Broadway. I wonder how they would do the part where Isabela is on a swing during We Don’t Talk About Bruno.
Ever since Encanto came out, I danced alone to it in my room, feeling like I was in a Broadway musical, and now that this happened, it makes me want it to happen even more!
Beatriz is so adorable with her dancing, jumping & kicking enthusiastically toward the end of the song. Diane & Beatriz sound as amazing as they do in the recording. That’s awesome to see them enthusiastically give each other a lingering hug, then walk off the stage hand & hand. In fact, the cast have amazing chemistry on stage, because it must be emotional to finally perform together on stage. The cast together did amazing in their show.
I love Stephanie really embodying Mirabel’s energy. So cute! She kicks up her feet and the woo’s! too are adorable.
Yeah. You can really tell that Stephanie is more like Mirabel. She’s an absolute goof and I love it 😆🥰

Is no one gonna talk about how much the cast looks like their characters?
I think it has more to do with the costumes they had on to give it that appearance.
@@fidelianerina The costumes are en pointe, but the cast looks almost exactly like what they would look in real life. They definitely put a lot of effort into casting.
@@qwmx More the other way around, they used the voice actors appearances to model their characters to an extent I believe

She did slay the performance. I saw it at the Hollywood bowl on Saturday but my video wasn't this good and the microphones were a bit messed up in this song and the last one.
I loved her as the best friend from Jane the Virgin! OITNB was when I knew she'd be a big hit!

It really does feel like it was written with the intent to become a live action broadway musical, especially with how quick the 2nd act goes.
Stephanie channeling Mirabel was so fun to watch....and Dianne was awesome

This was perfect, from the singing, to the dancing, to the background, to the costumes, everything! And Diane Guerrero sounds even better live! Nice job!
i wish they'd just turned beatriz' mic up a little, it feels like diane's is louder. otherwise amazing performance

The official recording is mastered well, if you have disney plus. You can hear em both really nicely!
I can't believe that "Mirabel" is actually in her forties, five years older than "Isabela," and nearly fourteen years older than "Luisa" is! That's just crazy! XD

This movie is one of the best things that happened in the last years. And now there is this live version. Just awesome.

Even in live action I don't see Rosa Diaz in Stephanie Beatriz at all. That's how much she channels Mirabel.

Both sing wonderfully, especially together, and the clothes and the screen behind are great, but considering the performances they did for other songs, it's disappointing, I was expecting something big with the dancers, with moving scenery and not just two dancers who should be the focus in a relatively simple and boring dance and 4 or 6 other dancers who move pieces of fabric.
blame the production team for that. They have handheld mics so movement is limited. If they had headsets or theatre mics they could do a lot more moving around but they focused on keeping the vocals stable.
