In order to better visualize oscillators and different waveforms I have used one of the Music Lab Chrome Experiments called "Oscillators", you can play with it at this link: musiclab.chromeexperiments.co...

That existential crisis u feel when a great series comes to it's end
I'm a sound engineer and I'm still watching this series just to marvel at how well you explain the concepts!
Thank you very much for your kind words!
Need a -dispenser- speaker here...
Wait, you're not THAT engieneer, are you?
It's always a marvel when someone explains complex concepts in a comprehensive yet easy to grasp way.
this man not only remade "bad guy"
but also taught us how to make a kick drum, a bass, how to use an envelope, how EQs work and how to overlay waveforms without sounding crap with just an oscillator
Heh one day Dave will make it big.
And teach a Master Class.
The animations must’ve taken time. And more time so bothering to teach us. I appreciate what you’re doing Dave. Thanks man!
I didn't realize music theory could be so interesting. Thanks for the videos.
Petition for EP 4 and 5 sir. This really helps. It is concise and visually appealing. Hoping for your consideration.
I want a stuffed toy of the triangle wave! And everyone else as well!
Amazing work man! I've tried to explain the concept of different types of waves to people (Being a Telecommunications Engineer myself) and you've done the entire thing in three short videos.
Truly amazing!
I would buy it
Pls don't kill the series.
I learned so much from your series.
I won't ever be able to make a video with anything as good as this Lol
Edit: IS THIS THE END
NOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Dave Wave has singlehandedly made Chrome Music Labs characters popular
Couldn't have been better explained than that you know your videos are catchy not only because you figured out how music works but you know what is enjoyable, you visualize everything, wish this way of teaching would be available for every concept besides music. Great job to keep up
Me: "Where's part 4 and 5?"
*Sees it's been released 12 minutes ago.*
Oh...
I fumbled my way through learning synthesis for this past week and it finally clicked yesterday. I found your videos today and they help clear everything up and solidify the concepts. Thank you!
I love how you easily get so much knowledge through in just 3 minutes. The visuals also really helps understanding. I should start watching you more often.
Can you do more like this because this was educational as well as simply fun to watch everything come together in such a harmonious way
At first, I didn't expect that I could fall in love with this series. But I was wrong. You are really talented in this kind of thing.
This actually really helped explain the concepts of synthesizers for me. Great video.
This is so educational and interesting at the same time. Would love to hear other music theories in this style
...a very interesting, very clever way to demonstrate sounds and their properties within the laws of physics and the fantastic universe of analogue synthesis. That's great...!!!
Watching the quality of videos improve over time is truly satisfying
This is the coolest thing I have ever seen.
The world of music is so fascinating.
That was super fun and educational. I loved how quickly you went over everything in a very simplified manner and I appreciate how you showed us how everything sounds with the different parameters. Wish there was more of these. Keep up the good work!
This was so so so intersting! Keep up the good work! Really liked this series!!
Omg, these 3 videos are exceptionally good, damn, well done.
This tutorial make some things understandable . Many thanks.

I am very mad that I discovered this great series only now, but of course youtube didn't show me it whan you published, I am so happy that I've checked your channel today, after the new video, and discovered this gem! Keep up the great work, you are one of the best musician/teacher on this platform, my fellow countryman!
Thank you very much for your kind words!
I've been listening to a bunch of old Isao Tomita songs that I loved as a kid, and it's actually really neat to run into this right after, because this explains so many of the characteristic sounds in his work.
Loved the series of videos, great work, high level detailed and clear explanation, awesome work.
Thank you very much! :)
Brilliant tutorial man I finally understand them
Love this visual form of teaching! 😂 ❤
Not only the sound of the video is amazing but also the visual animation

As a hobby producer this is pure golf.
And people really don't even know bout' this.

I would just keep the texts for a bit longer, had to pause the video a few times. But not a big trouble :)
I'm glad you liked it! :)
Was this the ultimate music production series, explained in about 10 minutes?
these videos are bomb
so goooood
Damn this is so good
So dang on glad I found your vids! - DUH
I didn't understand that much and the text was going away a little too quickly but it still was very interesting and I'm really impressed by the animations! :) May I ask what software(s) you're using to produce all of this?
I still dont understand it fully but i will say i understand it more than i did 10 mins ago. Now I just have to play around and practice with it
How about "what's a mode?"
This is so pog
I see.
Is this goodbye?
The time has come?
Is it good to be true?
Heh.
I won't cry.
I. W-won't.
Sincerly, Ducè.
P.S.: stay safe and be healthy.
Its 2 AM but i finally have my answers
Ciao Davide, ottima spiegazione! Volevo chiederti quale software hai usato, è veramente incredibile
This little three part series has genuinely taught me more about synths than like...literally anything else. This is, I think, what one would call "very neat"
