For 3:20: it's called a cattail, we get them in America, most of the time in the great plains; they usually grow in bunches next to rivers and small lakes

Which is awesome since 1 they are cool and 2 they are actually edible but it also sucks when you are allergic to everything pollen and similar, lol. Next question (not sure of order) If I had $1 for each time (I do this mostly waiting at gas stations, sitting in drivers seat, while my kind son is pumping the gas) I'd be rich when I look at the car next to me pulling out, I think my car IS MOVING & YOUR RIGHT, IT FREAKS ME OUT!! Mostly it happens when your looking down on your phone & you look up next to you. And...like you. I don't like cats either, I'm a doggy person too!! Love Kevin!! He has dreamy eyes & is a calm good doggy boy!! Sooo sweet. I swear, Kris and Jay are the perfect Creator-Editor duo! Jay is awesome at his job, and the way he brings some of Kris’s off the cuff statements into visual reality is amazing! I also love their in-video dialogue exchanges! It adds an extra layer of fun. Their friendship also seems to be so genuine, which is very cool. Kris by herself is hilarious, creative, and talented, so once you add in the humour, talent, and ability to play off the joke of Jay, it is the viewing equivalent of a perfectly baked AND decorated cake 🎉
Also, Kevin is so adorable. He has soulful expressive eyes ❤

You look great Kris with any hair color!!! That plant is called a Typha Latifolia, AKA Cattail. They grow wild like crazy in Florida, among other places in and around ponds. The shoots (stems) can even be eaten cooked or raw. Just a little fun fact. 😊
They grow up here in Canada too around creeks and ponds.

Fun fact: The cotton thingies are called cattail, and they grow near ponds and marshy water. They're made of tightly packed together seeds, and they blow up all fluffy to the wind can spread the seeds out.
Also, life hack, if you put bacon on a cookie tray covered in parchment paper and cook it in the oven at like 350 until it's as dark/cripsy as you like it, you can have bacon and not get burned by boiling oil :) hope my knowledge was helpful

We used to have a special tray for the microwave that had ridges on it and a collection tray on one side. We'd put 2 paper towels down on the tray, line up the bacon, put down a single paper towel and then a second line of bacon. A towel on top to keep the mess down and microwave for like 3 minutes...the collection tray caught all the grease. We'd cook a pound of bacon in 2 runs. Took less than 10 minutes start to finish. We don't eat as much anymore, so when we do have bacon, we cook it in the oven. :)
This is how most restaurants do their bacon, it’s tried and true, and now I won’t do bacon any other way. ❤

I'm not a redhead, my hair is naturally brown, but I spend time in the sun I get naturally red highlights which I love because I love red hair and always wanted red hair (my favourite red hair is the colour of Grace's hair on Will & Grace, that's the colour my hair highlights when the sun changes it). Only problem is, if I spend too much time in the sun I get ill and rashy, so I don't do that too often, unless I don't have a choice.. only good thing that comes out of it, is the red in the hair I get...lol.
When I was a kid I was jealous of the girls with red hair, even though they got teased and I never understood why.
My mom's a redhead too and she's never liked her hair even though I think it's beautiful and it makes me sad I wasn't born with a full head of fire 🥲

Your hair looks fabulous! Also, since you love bacon, but don't enjoy the potential issue of grease popping up and hitting you while you are cooking it, you can cook it in the oven. Line a sheet pan with some parchment paper or aluminum foil and place the bacon on that. Then bake it until it reaches your desired crispiness or lack thereof. You can flip it halfway through to help with cooking it evenly.
The one thing that I love is like jay and kris have like conversations even tho like they’re not in the same like place and time 😂😂
The fact that you have ADHD helps me with dealing with my own diagnosis (ASD+ADHD) which I got diagnosed at 25 (way too late if u ask me). It resulted in many more issues like depression, eating disorder, social anxiety, childhood trauma, low self-esteem etc.) I'm 27 now and still struggling but seeing what an amazing and funny person you are helps me focus on the positives and gives me a feeling of being understood, even if we don't know each other in person. Like the zoning out part - girl I zoned out too and u saying you zoned out made me literally laught out loud. Love you, girll

I love this shade of hair, but I Freaking Love the bright red shade you're now sporting! And that thing the girl bit into is a Cattail. Every part of the plant is useful! The seeds can be roasted and used like coffee, the fluff (which is what exploded out of the girl's mouth) can be used as stuffing in coats or toys, the stalk & leaves can be used to weave with, and the roots can be eaten like potatoes! Now you know. 👍🏻😁👍🏻
The pollen when it's bright yellow is really edible too. We harvested it in girl scout(a billion summers ago lol) and mixed it into pancakes. It's actually yummy

so for bacon if you don't want splishy splashies (also its better this way imo) line a baking sheet with tin foil and you can bake it instead of frying it. its good if you need to make massive amounts of it at once, and it crisps it up really well. not to mention the absence of oil spashes. also you can save the bacon grease in a jar (sounds gross, I know, but trust me on this) and you can use your saved bacon grease to fry other things in to give them bacony flavor. super good, try it out
When you save the bacon grease, do you keep it in the fridge, or just keep it in a jar with a lid on the counter? Cuz I always worry about bacteria getting into the bacon grease... My step mom used to do this, but I can't remember how she stored it.

Dear Kris… first you are amazing and thank you for being you. Second as a 33 year old woman I can confirm, you are not alone in your fear of cooking bacon and being splashed by the grease. I too have that fear, use to use the lid like a shield when I cooked it (or anything that makes/uses grease), now we pay the extra expense of microwave bacon and just let the microwave cook it. Third; I love the hair. Fourth; Jay you are also amazing and I really love how much you support Kris.
Hey, just throwing this out there, but cooking bacon on a sheet tray in the oven, with parchment paper, is not only the cleanest, safest method, it also lets you completely control your desired level of crispiness. Very common in restaurants the world over, try it...
Yeah we have tried the oven method as well… it’s good, but then our house smells greasy for a few days and as much as I love the smell of bacon(which I only smell as it’s cooking/baking), the smell of grease makes me nauseous lol

First Kris, the strawberry blonde is perfect on you. That's the shade I always go with when I dye my hair bc it used to be my natural color. Gotta love getting older and hair getting darker. Second, for the bacon thing, bake it. It's a lot less messy and it cooks more even. Just get a deep cookie sheet and line it with tinfoil and you're golden
I came to comments to see if anyone said this. (About baking the bacon) Yup I always just did that so I didn't have to stand there and watch bacon and flip it...I could just throw it in and cook my eggs or whatnot 😅

Yeah, my dad always puts bacon on a thingie lined with foil and sticks it in the oven. It turns out so nice! It’s always so crispy, and it almost melts in your mouth, if that makes sense.

Kris you may never see this but me and my partner are from Nova Scotia Canada and we both love you so much! Me and my partner unfortunatly soon are being forced back into living in our car. Kris! Oven fry your bacon! Changed my life! Use a sheet pan, cover it in parchment paper, lay the bacon out one strip next to the other, 400f for 15 minutes and if it’s not crispy enough, give it two more minutes at a time until it is. I make like a whole pack that way. Hope this helps and I LOVE the hair!
Oven fry is gold. I do it hotter for a shorter amount of time, but my family likes super crispy bacon.

I never worry about the things I do to my hair. It'll either grow out if it's a cut or I can re-dye it if it's a dye. Life's too short to stress about shit like that.
Hey Kris! Heres a little bacon tip to help with cooking! Instead of making it in a pan, use an oven! Set your bacon down on a baking sheet with some parchment paper, set oven to 350° F or 176° C, cook for 10 minutes, flip the bacon, cook for another 10 minutes, and youre done! Perfectly cooked bacon without the scary bacon grease attacking you! Hope this helps! ❤️
That or if you don’t have an oven there is a thing called a splatter guard that is like a wire mesh screen that sits on top of the pan and catches the grease. Wear some oven mitts if you’re worried about your fingies and hands getting burnt and there ya go. Not gonna lie the oven sounds easier if you have one. 😂 love the hair Kris!
Or you can use a rack and line a pan under it with foil. No need to even flip it. Super easy and crisped to perfection with "no" clean up! Just wait until the foil and grease cools and dispose of the foil.

I have a solution to your bacon problem! something me and my family do is bake it in the oven, you take a cookie sheet lay tinfoil or parchment paper on the sheet, and put the bacon on it, you preheat the oven to 350F (176.7C I think) and let it cook for 5 minutes if not done you can keep adding time till its cooked to your liking! I hope this works for you (love the hair!) I hope your day is going wonderfully! you're the best (and my favorite) RUclipsr I know!
I use a wire cooling rack on top so the grease drips down onto the aluminum foil. Less greasy bacon ftw!
