Bro.... I literally got back 60 GB back.... even though I had moved the media cache folders in preferences... i had done it too late... you saved my life
This helped me a lot. I was trying to update my Premiere Pro but couldn't because I didn't have enough space. Your tip worked perfectly. Much appreciated. I liked and subscribed and look forward to future videos.
Thanks for the tutorial, helped clearing some space, but still when opening photoshop without even editing anything it takes up to 7 gb of space, any chance you know why that happens?
I've been struggling for So Long on why everytime I open photoshop AND start a new project 1920 x 1080 with 72 ppi, It literally takes up 40gb of my c drive
@@sternwardboss do you have lightroom? Did you try doing similar on that? Also to note, cloud storage, with light room is usually duplicated on your hdd/side, so if you have 50gb of photos, it will have a local copy which could be causing the issue.
@@MarlonKingShow No I only use Photoshop and Premiere pro. I cleared the cache on photoshop as well. Somethings weird about this. I currently have 11.4 Gigs of space. And there’s almost nothing on my laptop. I use it strictly for editing my YT videos. I’ve cleared everything related to Premiere Pro and Photoshop. Two days ago I had 60 gigs of space BTW. Weird…
I don't have any brushes installed to confirm. I would suggest to back up anything beforehand just in case. As far as I'm aware, this is just temporary files so unless you stored your brushes in the same temporary location, they should not be removed.
bgfdhnbgdfsh THIS HELPED ME SO MUCH!!!! Ive been struggling for SO LONG wondering why my SSD is filled and I thought I had to uninstall and reinstall CC and couldn't figure out why after deleting projects that were completed. . . I had over 10GB of old footages in the Media Cache folder and I never knew that!!! Thank you so much for the video 😭😭😭😭!!
I have 2 photos in my photoshop app and it's still showing that i'm using 75gigs.. HELP.. i've done all of your steps.. even offloaded the app and reinstalled it. I just reinstalled from a backup and nothing helps. Even contacted Adobe and they couldn't help.
Heya, In premiere there are other caching options. You may have already set up cache not to persist for long. Or depending on scratch disk set up, maybe this isn't saving to your c drive any more. But if f it showed the load sign for a second it means it cleared down anything that it stored for itself so you should hopefully be good 🤞🏻
How many adobe apps do you have installed? I dont have all of them but it may be light room that is or another that is taking the space. If you have cleared this for both premiere and photoshop.
How much space did you save with these tips?
I saved 20GB. Thank you so much!!

Will these delete my current project?
It will delete the temp files for your current projects. Next time you open them they will re generate.
@@MarlonKingShow None if this worked. Only freed up a half a gig. There’s nothing on this computer. It doesn’t make sense.

Hi! I have question: if I clean up Photoshop, would it remove the Brushes installed there? ;_;

Glad I could help, it is quite random the sheer size it stores. Thankfully this gets around it.
Nice advice 👌

Almost 20 gigs of space cleared with the Premiere tip! D:
Very helpful, Thank you.

What about illustrator and xd? Do they have similar cached repositories?
Heya, they may do but I don't have the Adobe complete bundle so can't confirm as I only have photoshop/premiere packages.

Heya, do you use lightroom also? If you have your photos in the cloud they generally store a local version also, so that could be whats causing it
Holy fuck, thank you, I was wondering why my c drive had 3gb when I have almost nothing but adobe and windows on it, it freed up 75gb of space LOL
Awesome, glad you managed to get the space back, Adobe is a bit of a nightmare, I do a check once every 6-12 months to be sure.
Hey it worked in photoshop but not in premier pro i did everything but it shows load for a sec then disappers
