I guess there’s an app you can download that lets you do that, but that’s just silly if it’s not in the settings or build within the os.. why would I want to open an app to re order my apps.. silly 🙃
To re-enroll eyes and hands quickly you can ask Siri or quadruple press the top button. Hope this helps :)
I just can't wait for Andriod to come out with one, and I HOPE it's not $35,000! If I had that kind of money I would buy my own new power chair with lights and all the good stuff!
I still think this device is not meant for average consumer use. Some of the cons you mention, would be fine in a corporate/industrial environment. Although, it's strange there's no language support. I guess the next update.
That's part of a larger philosophical with it. I think it's targeted towards consumer use and makes decent strides. But I think it such a tough sell even to have people appreciate the tech at a base level. Considering Apple's have a hard time selling the concept to the public through the allure of their own brand, it's really gonna be an uphill battle for them to see this through...

But for real, Apple doesn't even allow you using non-US credit cards with this thing. Mind boggling how far Apple thought through these kinds of things, but then doesn't allow you to rearrange apps
It seems only the corporate/industrial environment can afford the price! Just like when Google Glass came out, but that failed! I rather wear Google Glass vs a big headset.
@@lovedfriend2020 The price is definitely a CON for the average consumer, but in the corporate world it's a matter of whether its need it or not. Price is an issue, but not as much as need. In the consumer world, people are still trying to figure out what they can use it for🤷♂. You wanna see price, check the pricing options for HoloLens. It starts at $3500.🤣
Absolutely don’t get Apple Care+! At this price it’s not worth it at all. Even if the screen does break, it’ll cost you less overall if you don’t have Apple Care +

I like that Apple is dipping their toes in the VR space... But there's a few reasons people still go with companies that have been in that space for 5+ years. I hope Apple can figure it out though, it would be nice to see another competitor in that area of tech.
I went to an apple store to demo the vision pro, and I cannot wait for a more affordable version along the lines of an Apple Vision SE to come out.
I might go to one just to check it out, BUT I am not an Apple person.

Glad that most of your complains can (but Apple, so who knows) be addressed in software updates. This device feels like the iPhone with no 3g and ATT only. Or the Macintosh with 128kb of RAM and no fixed storage.
I understand the idea of VR/AR headsets becoming a part of the productivity hardware scene. That may make sense at some point. However the price, the cumbersome nature of the headset, and the limited use case make this more of a headache than anything. It isn’t easier to travel with than a standard laptop. It isn’t more affordable than almost anything in the tech space. It looks a bit ridiculous when used in public.
If it can be brought down to something even remotely close to standard glasses, maybe I could see this being a helpful travel accessory, and not much more. As it stands, this a solution looking for a problem. Apple is asking its users to pay in to be a part of their Research and Development team, instead of bringing a desirable, cost effective product to the market.
100% with your second paragraph, and I honestly do not envy the people having to plan the strategy for Vision Pro.
It's either you dump more money into waiting for the tech to evolve and risk the product being push farther and farther away into the ether. Or just brute force the development yourself and take the risk putting out what you got working so far.
It's hard to say how this'll pan out because we don't know what Apple's metric for success is with it, but hopefully it does work toward a more-viable Vision Pro successor sooner than later.
Agreed! As a daily glasses wearer, I am however excited to see this idea. (Google Glasses hype anyone?) the implementation needs to be more streamlined and I do hope that “Because the early adopters walk, we one day get to fly”. In the meantime, enjoy it Ken! Still looks neat as hell to mess with!
well, at this version purchasers are the early adopter test subjects, the refinements down the line will benefit from your sacrifices . . err manufacturer volunteered statistical uploads to the mothership

Number 1 without competition is limited operating system. It should've been macOS fork instead of iPadOS fork. macOS LaunchPad is AVP ready, macOS settings app is AVP ready. We know why it's not, Apple wants that sweet App Store tax + they want you to spend money on Mac in addition to AVP.

"Tax might be a thing". Maybe the reason it is not sold in EU. Add 20-25% VAT and we are at >5000 USD. And as net wages are generally slightly to a lot lower than in US, depending on your country, we are easily talking a vision pro costing 2 to 4 months net income for an average person in EU.
Until a headset has 8 hours of battery eye level of Field of view and atlest a 360 hertz refresh rate no thank you
Beeen waiting for that too and want a decent library of softwares amd redesign of how you wear it to improve comfortability and devs learn to design especially for vr rather than just a ripped out of a flatscreen 2d design

I also would like a Japanese keyboard (as a learner who uses the keyboard increasingly on other devices), and the ability to use more than one desktop extension from Mac. There is support for virtual desktops (spaces) on MacOS, hopefully that is just a visionOS thing and not some hardware limitation. I was actually strongly planning to buy, but I can't in this current state. Price is only a smaller factor, but it more so because of so many missing features. I can wait and re-examine when visionOS is updated. I don't think a non "Pro" or Pro 2 version will happen for several years, I'm not trying to wait that long.
Many of the Apple haters or people who just straight up can't afford this thing speak as if they want this product to fail, I think that would be worse overall for advancement and adoption. Adoption in not the dystopian feature sense, I mean appealing enough for people want to use and see as beneficial.
Apple you guys they need to make 2,100 usd or less known pro ‘ headset. By 2025

apple thinks everyone is rich out side of the usa... or in. I live in brazil, this.. would be insanely expensive at 45.000 R$! meaning a lot of money. I'm not gonna buy this, but damn... people hear are gonna tell me to buy it, but I won't.
Glad I held off from buying. Not worth it for the price point at this juncture.

First let me say I am a fan of Apple and I like your videos and main thing is that I have iPhone 15 pro, Apple watch ultra,iPadPro12.9 M1, Macmini M1, Macbook Pro 14 M2 Max..... but I am tired sick of all reviews for this device that first: it's crap compared to other VR devices, second: not available even here in Japan, third: way too much expensive for a device that I would say a beta release device, it lacks a lot of functionalities, fourth: as the Pro display is out of the rach for most of common Apple users ... without saying 2 hrs battery is ridicoulous and no other language support is absurd. If you come Tokyo let me know!😀

As someone who doesn't like Apple products very much, I think it's crazy how many of the issues you have with the headset are "Ugh *this* is making it so much more of a hassle to keep on my face 24/7". Like seriously "can't take a regular call" like NO BRO TAKE IT OFF LMAO???

I wouldn’t say it “failed” per se. I just think Apple needs to work on it more and make it affordable for the average consumer base.
As for the failed aspect of it, I suppose the initial launch is a fail in terms of sales but even then, lots of tech people bought it. They just need to make it so that the average man can buy one without having to mortgage their house lmao

Yeah, this is NOT the future. It's all superficial hype. Yes the tech is cool but if the form factor doesnt drastically get smaller in the next couple years, this device is just too inconvenient. Why would I use this big chunky headset, if I can pull out my phone to do the same thing with more convenience. It just takes waaay too long to set the vision pro up compared to a phone or laptop that you can whip out from your pocket/bag and use it right away. There is just way too many cons to this device compared to what we have now. Price, accessibility, convenience, isolation are too big of cons for this to take off. Like yes in very niche situations, sure yeah its better, but for the average consumer? Would they really put this big ass headset on just to watch a movie ALONE? Nah

1. The processor M2 for the cost should be M2 Max
2. Can’t connect anything into it iPhone,hard drive,Switch,Xbox etc…
3. Pass through looks like the iPhone camera. Needs higher quality with larger sensors
4. Needs image stabilization too shaky
5. Battery
6. No Netflix or RUclips app
7. Needs some kind hand controller instead of using hands
One of the biggest things for me is the fact that I can’t play PS five on it. I spent so much time on it that if I had a Vision Pro it would just be unused.

Apple being terrible at UX? I'm so shocked. Why do people think Apple is user friendly? I've heard people say that and It's so far from reality. You have UX as one entry but this whole video is about UX. The eye tracking calibration not being on the quick menu. The low battery. The comfort of the device. The lack of being able to share the device. These are all under UX design. The Vision Pro feels like a Prototype they threw out to market. Not a premium item worth 3500 dollars.
the UX of their operating systems are amazing and work without errors more readily than windows does. a lot of this is because people are more likely to test their products with apple products because they know it’s a guaranteed 30-50% of their market. their hardware has gotten more and more anti user since steve jobs died and they’ve started squeezing consumers as much as they can lol
@@verygoodfreelancer I sat here writing a long essay on the many terrible UX issues I've seen in Apple products for years. But to keep this shorter. I'm a UX Designer. Over the last 15 year Apple have made really odd choices with it's UX/UI and overall product design. People often make jokes about these features as if it's not terrible UX. For example the charging port for their mouse being on the bottom of the mouse. And I think people trash Windows way to much. It's not perfect but there's a reason it's the standard.
