it was a 10 minute video on 5 seasons (50+ hours, 3,000 minutes) give the guy a break he did an amazing job, keep it up!
+furxes Before noticing this, I had counted together the running times on S1 to S5 Blu-ray boxes and they say it only takes 2,765 min (46 hours). Whether that is completely accurate, I wouldn't know. (I'm sure someone *must* have counted the total down to the second.) But yeah, the total is definitely under 50 hours.

Seeing it all summed up like this I really wonder wft I've been watching all this time...
Yeah, it's interesting how I still understand the small subplots that are taking place while watching the show, but have a hard time connecting everything together. Videos like this help a lot though. I may have to go back and re-watch the entire series though. It's definitely one of those shows that requires watching at least twice.
Sausage Fingers Exactly...thats what's wrong with the show. Too many stories & pointless plots along with too many characters to keep up with. I've still in Season 5 & Winter has been coming for 5 seasons now... These characters has wasted their time & mine. It took The jerk king 4 seasons to get killed...4... talk about dragging it on.

Why did you say Sean Bean instead of Eddard Stark? It's jarring, confusing and obnoxious. This would have been easier to watch if you didn't decide to use the wrong name for an important character like Eddard Stark...

I'm not usually into folklore and fantasy shows, but this is an overwhelmingly entertaining series. The more complex, nuanced, and intertwined the plots is, the better I find it.
If anyone who "knows nothing" about GoT watches this because you want to start watching this season, let us know if it clued you in. I actually think if you watched it carefully a couple/three times, you could dive in and be OK. You might not be able to debate the subtly nuanced pros and cons of R+L=J for hours on end, but you could jump into a great show you hadn't seen under your rock before and save yourself 50 hours before Sunday. So, nice job, and it refreshed my memory on some things as well, thanks!

+OGSpaceCadet Pretty much came to this season brand new. As long as you understand the "dynamics" of the families and the cities then you pretty much have the context you need to understand what happens off the bat in season 6. Between who killed who, who fucked who, and which family or king is in power its a pretty tough show to follow.
Maybe it's just because iam not a huge fantasy nerd but I could get through house of cards with a good understanding and that show is just as tough to follow sometimes. Either way good recap. Can't wait for vinyl season 2 much more of my type of show. anyways onto episode 2 of GoT and to see if john snow is resurrected from the dead??????

I wanted to show this video to someone who has no intention of watching game of thrones but just to get them caught up in the hopes it would peak their interest enough they'd watch the new episodes at least.

The Sharpe series is so good... at least I remember it being so good... I really hope it's so good.
+coolstream1 The acting is fine, but it hasn't entirely aged gracefully and the relative lack of extras in the battle set pieces shows the limited budget they had to make the series.
Appreciate the recap but I really wished you cut the dry humor and just said the character names. It's kind of killing my mood to watch season 6.

Rob didn't declare war because daddy dies, he just wanted to rescue his daddy but he died before rob got close
I suspect not only because he's still alive in the books but also because brienne is to honorable, that stannis is not dead. Killing him after he was already wounded and laying there bleeding doesn't seem like her style. Even though he had renly killed with a shadow demon. I just don't see her killing him like that. But who knows, his story arc does seem rather concluded, his army is destroyed, daughter/wife dead, red woman ran, he owes the iron bank... and it's game of thrones so anything goes.

+Lennon Clifford You cannot even begin to imagine my salt levels when I realized that the hand over Jon's face was a red herring. I thought for the longest time that it'd be Melisandre and he'd be back right after the first episode, but I guess that was being too greedy. I'll just wait.

i like how Sean Bean gets his real life name and the rest get the rest are stuck with their game of thrones names even when they appear in other movies. in a way its like of like killing him, like they always do in every movie he is in. tradition.

Well he actually did it so the blizzard that had fallen would stop and so the snow would melt, clearing the way for his attempted siege of Winterfell. Technically her death was for something, but something pointless.
Couple small inaccuracies, but overall awesome video. Now if I could just get my SO to watch this show...
