How much I love Swami Sarvapriananda. In this day and age The Enlightenment decided to reveal itself through such a chatter willing, wise, loving and charismatic Hindu sage. He will be remembered as a man through whom a lot of God's work has been done.

There are infinite paths to attain the infinity. And nobody has to force anybody to follow a certain path. Everyone is allowed to move at their own pace too…
Muslim here. I follow everything Swami teaches and I study Vedanta since like 10 years. Every single point in Vedanta is validated by islam, except one which is about reincarnation. Basically it’s because the way reincarnation is taught nowadays is not the traditional way.
Anyway, karma, jnana and Bhakti are the fundamental roots of islam. Raja Yoga is more for sufis and people who try to get the deep meaning of islam, like people who want to understand and experiment the verse that is about « Allah is the light of the heavens and the earth » (surat 33, verse 35).
People who know the history of Indian islam know that there even has been islamic sheykhs who were in the same time Hindu gurus.
Only ignorant people think that Abrahamic religions have no direct link with Hinduism.
Surat 103 :
1. I swear by the time,
2. Most surely man is in loss,
3. Except those who believe and do good, and enjoin on each other truth, and enjoin on each other patience.

Meaning, along time, humans are wasted, except those who believe/know (jnana), do good (karma), enjoin to truth/reality/actuality (same word in Arabic, Raja yoga), enjoin to patience / cope with it/be happy with it (Bhakti).

I can very well relate to the example you have given Maharaj... during my recent pilgrimage to the Punya Bhoomi - I actually had this experience while going from Kuthi Ghat to Belur Math by boat... the illusion that the biat is stationary and the temples n trees n all are moving... Shankara's commentary beautifully explained!

Swami ji there is a very profound term and condition attached to the " Yogaksama Vahaamyaham " thing that the Lord promises. The devotee HAS to forgo his mind at the lotus feet of the Lord, continuously keep praising 👏 the Lord and be grateful and at peace despite whatever happens.
Swamiji's lessons should be taught at school levels in all the schools at least in India.

Spirituality is a difficult topic/subject but an essential knowledge which is more effective than any treatment available in the world to reduce human suffering or sorrows in life of humans. Karma Yoga knowledge is a must for that because all humans are doing karma only for their happiness and peace.

The meaning of the story of Jagannath Mishra is very deep. I missed it the first time. Even though the scholar cut the verse, Lord Krishna still carried the food to his home although he took the cut. Beautiful story.

The four approaches in Karma Yoga:
1) The nature does all activities; I am only a Witness.
2) Never approach anything in life, except as God.
3) Live life in constant remembrance of God, Surrender.
4) Consider our entire life as a Divine Play.

We should treat fellow humans kindly and respectfully the way hospital staff male/female treat us till the end of life because unlike animals we humans can help and take care of each other.
Would all homes not be a happy home if Mum, Dad and children treated each other kindly and respectfully for life like the way hospital staff treat all of us?
