This car is out of this world. Classic amongst classics.
There were only 3 genuine P4s made, 2 coupes and one open top like this one but a number of P3s were rebodied in the P4 shape. Instead of the 4.2 litre quadcam V12 they had the SOHC 4.5 V12 that produced a little less power and were just a bit slower than the real P4s.

For anyone interested in the authenticity of Mr Glickenhaus's car that he claims is Ferrari 330 P3/P4 #0846, the winner of the 1967 Daytona 24 Hours race, there is a 15 year debate about the car on the web site FerrariChat. Photographic proof that it's not the real #0846 has been posted just over the last year or so. You will have to register and log in on the site, which is very easy, to see the pictures. This is 0846, a very real Ferrari and winner of 1967 24h of Daytona. Yes, previously crashed, but all Ferrari. You have a VIN, you have a restoration candidate. Read thru his site at p45c.com and see all his wonderful cars. I've been to his shop and a real car guy. He restored 0854 too and owns lowest serial number surviving Ferrari in the world, 1947 #002
Yes, Mr Glickenhaus does have some fabulous cars but this car is absolutely not 0846. It's a replica made with a Ferrari 3 litre 312 F1 engine and a replica chassis built with P4 plans as a guide. See the 0846 thread in the vintage section on www.ferrarichat.com where there is substantial photographic proof posted since around June of 2016 that it is not.
Even if it is a replica, it should cost 200k-400k to actually make this replica. And if I'm not mistaken there is only around 3 ever made so it could be a replica

There were 3 P4s made and one P3/P4, chassis number 0846, the latter of which is what the owner claims this car is, but that car was scrapped by Ferrari and no longer exists.
The great pretender. With the great cars he has, I don’t for the life of me understand why he continues to lie to the public and perpetuate the FANTASY this car is the actual LeMans winning 0846 and not a replica just as he bought it. Tarting it up with stickers and pretending it’s something it isn’t just seems sad and bizarre.

I just came here from watching a 917 video. The Porsche sounds like an out of control jackhammer compared to this thing. This things sounds like a precision sewing machine on steroids. I love both but this seems just a little bit more "put together"

Echhh at least Ferraris sound good today. They didn't build them great back in the 50s like this hunk o junk. Not particularly reliable too. Enzo would have rolled in his grave to see this thing being made.
Thats probably true, he had a right benny on when he refused to sell a team any 250 gto so the team bought a 250 gt swb and built the breadvan, and it was even better than the gto. Misrable sod.
