These clubs are fantastic. Working familes are now pretty much priced out of your likes of Hibs and Hearts as every penny is a prisoner just now, so teams like Bonnyrigg and Edinburgh City and even temas like Musselburgh, Haddington etc are offering an alternative, cheaper football fix these days and it's much more exciting stuff in these leagues. Great to see so many young fans at these games too as they really are the future of clubs like these being able to remain on the go and bringing local communities together in these tough times.
100% mate. Look how close you are to the pitch, the players and getting to cause havoc with your pals. Yesterday was £10 for an adult and £5 for kids. A no brainer 👏🏻
Cheers for coming Blair absolute legend. I was the boy who came up to you after the game saying “ you’ll gain some subscribers form this” also my dad was the gk coach last year 👍
Great to see kids enthusiastically going to matches at the lower levels...my local club just got promoted from the 8th tier to the 7th...lots of kids coming to watch...it's not all about the Premiership and the (stupid) big money...support grassroots football...it's more real and you occasionally see flashes of brilliance from the honest, hard-working lads on the pitch...
Great video, I was at the match too. Was good to see such a big crowd of just over 2000 and Bonnyrigg deserved their win, especially in the second half. Amazing scenes at full time, you could see what staying up meant to the fans. Although originally coming from Moray, I was disappointed Elgin lost, but at least they had already secured a place in League 2 next season and hopefully they can build and improve. The disallowed goal in the first half was offside, I managed to get that one on camera and I've uploaded it to my channel.
Population of the Town of Bonnyrigg about 18.5K.....a decent sized catchment area compared to other SPFL clubs. Looks like there is enough room for moderate expansion of their current ground. A well run club by the looks of things and most importantly an enthusiastic young team! They have a good chance.
well done Bonnyrigg proud of you for staying up in your first ever season in league 2. As a Cove Rangers fans my advise is try not move up the leagues too fast like we did going from Highland league right the way up to the Championship as i must admit we went to the championship too quickly and being the only part time club in that league it really showed but we did manage to take it to the last game of the season but unfortunately lost 2-1 at home against Morton in a game nobody could see anything cause of the fog lol, but now we are back in league 1 i am alot happier as we need to rebuild absolutely everything if u want to be in the championship, but i wish you absolutely all the best for next season and i will certainly be looking out for ur results every week
