- 👉 Learn how to graph piecewise functions. A piecewise function is a function that has more than one sub-functions for different sub-intervals(sub-domains) of the function's domain. To graph a piecewise function, we graph the different sub-functions for the different sub-intervals of the function's domain.

this man has taught me more in 6:16 minutes than my teacher has in 2 weeks
It's always easier when someone else that isn't your teacher explains it to you
fax bro same here
SO TRUE my teacher SUCKS at explaining math
yessss 😭🤝
fax my professor sucks dude.
This helped me so much my teacher didn't even finish the notes and threw the hw at us
blah, happy to be able to fill in the gaps for you
ha my teacher refused to teach us because our class wouldn't stop talking
Literally the same rn
My teacher throws the homework then teaches. Still don't know shit
My teacher is always in jury duty
I think it's really awesome I have the ability to do that don't you. That is my mission in life to extend math education to the most amount of people. Thank you youtube!
Samantha throw that marker and stop acting up
haha seriously
Elaborate
such a dick
Fucking Samantha just throw him the damn marker ...smh
@Wesam Moughrabi Holy shit.. No No No No No that's fucked up🚫🚫
It’s crazy to think that Samantha is like 27 now and probably has her whole life figured out. 😳

My teacher didnt even explain well and in detail. But u sir did. Thank you!
You are very welcome
Same here. My teacher makes it way more complicated than it is
fr thoo :,) this really helped me
Great, I really wanted to teach calculus this year but as they have it, I am staying at Pre-calc. There are a lot of great teachers on youtube however when you start having problems. Let me know if I can help at all
You sir, are the reason why I'm going to pass this weeks upcoming test with flying colors. All those students are insanely lucky to have you as a teacher. Thank you so much!
piece wise functions can be very difficult to initially grasp. I am really happy I helped and that you have plenty of more videos to watch for the rest of the year. Check out my playlists for the rest of my pre-calculus topics
absolutely! happy to help!
The exact question you showed is the one on my homework. You taught me more in 6:16 minutes than my teacher did in 40. Thank you 🙏🏼
I've always struggled with math and last year as a junior I passed algebra 2 because of your videos. I'm now a senior taking pre cal and your videos are already saving me. Thank you so much sir God bless you and your family.
You did so much better than my teacher and she's a honors teacher
happy to be able to help
linsey likes dank Maybe you should've gone with AP then 😂
She a fake XD
linsey likes dank you’re hot
Awesome, piece wise functions to take a little bit longer to understand because they are so unique. But once you understand them, they are hard to forget. I am glad my video helped you out!
you saved my grade, THANK YOU!
you are very welcome!

um yea, I recommend other videos from other youtube teacher to my students all the time. Sometimes they don't grasp what I am saying. Everyone learns differently, let your classmates know as well. I am teaching Algebra 2 this year so expect a lot of new videos!
You saved me, thank you. I wasn't understanding this, but have a better understanding now.
perfect! happy to be there for you
11 years later and you're still a lifesaver, needed this for my final tomorrow!! Tysm
You are very welcome!!
We're doing online learning and the teacher just gives us homework with no explanation. So thank you for teaching me how to do the homework.
This man is the goat bruh 😂 I actually understand him. My teacher explains it in a way that I can’t understand, so I was kinda struggling but I guess not no more because of him.
This guy's video going to be teaching students in 2050! It's been 10 years already geeshh. I'm thanking you for teaching my kids in advance like you're teaching me lol
awesome job, it's really tough explaing to a camera, a class and following on the board so great job!!
happy to be able to help you out!
I don't make the videos cause I like making them, they are for you. Use and abuse. Spread the word. Thanks
Glad I am able to reach you. Unfortunately we cannot reach all of our students but it is good to see I was able to help you. Let me know how else I can help
amen! you just need time to and practice to let it sink in. Piecewise functions are different than other functions so they take time, but as you now understand, they are not that bad. Good job staying with it!
2:04 - you know you're making a video right ... LOL
haha yep
thanks let me know if you like my other videos I have available
Thank you for watching
Glad I could help, so you are taking calculus this year?
thank you very much, that is very nice of you, I am making videos all year for you, so don't worry I have you covered
This definately helped me. Im taking Algebra 2 Honors online and I cant get on hand instruction but your video definately helped me understand the concept more. Thanks!
thank you. I really appreciate your comment
today is sept 30,2020, exactly 10 years from which u've posted this vid. u saved me. you are amazing! thank you!
Krylio Mirai wow that is very cool
Great man, yes my videos are done in class so I try to make them as quick as possible but a lot of times we like to over explain things. I am glad this vid worked for you
you are very welcome
Thank you so much. I thought maybe I was just stupid until I saw this. You know, anyone can stand up at the board scribble all they want but only the great one's can actually teach. You, sir are an excellent teacher.
if we are graphing inequalities then you would be correct. However we are graphing equations so we will always have solid lines. However, the symbols determine if the when we graph our given equations or functions and if at that point it is included(shaded) or not included(open). Did this make sense?
This man came in clutch for the quiz I’m studying rn
Literally have the test in two hours and I learned this just now, thanks for making this video.
got one literally at 10am. its 2am lol
you are welcome!
Thanks man! Still helping people 9 years later!
thank you i appreciate your comment
This makes me feel genuinely confident about my homework thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yea there are quite a few of us that enjoy what we do on here
I like how you're helping not only your real life students but all around the world including me and for that I thank you
thank you for this! i do not understand when my teacher explains it. thank you!
This video really helped me understand my teachers lesson. She recommended us this video. 1000/10 vid
Glad I can help, just let me know how else I can help you!
YOUR A GENIUS!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!

BlueSlime LMFAO
glad you enjoyed
That's great, I am teaching Algebra 2 honors this year so I can't wait to make a lot of videos on the subject. To Late for You but remember I have a lot of Pre-Calc videos uploaded as well
Ahhh ! it finally feels like home ... u have made the concepts so easy .. Stay blessed sir ! ❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much for these! With the school closer our teacher is giving us empty notes packets and homework but the only resource we get are poorly explained, 40 minute videos that don’t even help
These are incredible and super helpful, thanks
Will do, have any requests for your help I make all sorts of videos!
This is probably a pointless comment but THANK YOU so much. You managed to explain this so simply, after I was struggling and confused. Lifesaver 🙏
@CuzitFun Absolutely! it is a great way for students to go back and check how to do problems at home
god bless this man 🙏🏽🙏🏽
I kinda just blanked out in class today, so I kinda missed this part of the work.
This is one of the few videos I could find that got straight to the point. Honestly, this is not a hard topic but it seems everyone splits it up into 10-20 minute videos which is quite unnecessary.
Gah, thank you so much for this!!!
I get back home from rehearsals (I'm a theatre kid) at like, 9-10 pm, and I have HUGE unit test in math tomorrow, and you just like, totally saved my life here.
Thanks!
Thank you so much for posting this stuff on RUclips so we can learn it
happy to help even two years past!
I’m in the middle of a test and needed some review. Thanks man 👍
your welcome, happy to help!
9 years later and this video is still helping us students Thankyou!
Appreciate your work, that was really instructive
@Buddlebot awesome I am glad it helped!
Great teacher. He's interesting to listen to and explains the material well. Wish I had him as a teacher.
very happy to help, even back then!
your so very welcome, let me know how else I can help
this helped me since we are doing online school now & my teacher didn’t rly explain it much so THANK YOU
slope is your coefficient of x so it is 2. However to graph using slope it is helpful to write it as a ratio. The change in y over x. However 2 is not written as a ratio. We can rewrite 2 as 2/1 and not change the value of the number as 2/1=2. Writing it this way allows us to have a slope in ratio form. did this help?
good I have more examples if you need them
great! thank you, I am glad to have helped out with your confusion
wow what a great explanation. I used to get confused most of the time graphing piecewise function, and after watching your video my confidence level boosted. Thank you so much.
I have a test on this tomorrow!! you're a life saver! :)
perfect! good luck on your test!
These 6 minutes have been more helpful than 6 hours in my class trying to understand this. Thank you!
you are very welcome!
@leanton01 yes to best help you with this say the inequality outload. The values that make the inequality true is where your inequality will point. Hence x
glad it helped, let me know how it goes
your welcome! good luck, let me know how you do!
@DCforTHREEE thanks, I will try to upload some more on piece-wise functions soon!
God this guy is amazing! My math teacher is awesome but I’m reviewing for midterms at the moment and needed a bit of a reminder. Took me only him doing one part of the function to remind me. Thanks so much for posting this stuff, you just earned a sub!
Your Welcome!
thanks, I appreciate the kind words
I am glad I could help!
well first graph the function f(x) = x You can use a table or graphing calculator if you don't know how to graph it. Then the inequality x>2 meaning that the function is only true for values of x greater than two. So at two you will have an open circle and the rest of the graph for values less than two you will erase.
Thank you, my teacher explained it rlly bad and this helped a lot
your welcome, I will assume you have a better understanding now?
I am not exaggerating when I say I love this man
You are being used as my Pre-Calc side teacher!
Mr. Logan is chillin!
Made piecewise functions very clear to me. Great video
glad you guys are getting it!
this man has taught me more than all of my math teachers collectively
Love how you’re still replying to comments this many years later 👍
i've learned so much more in this short video than i have in 2 weeks in class. I should recommend your videos to my teacher!
Thank you so much! I couldn't understand it from anyone else except from you. 🐐
happy to be there to help
Seriously, thank you so much! The way my teacher explained it was waaaaay too complicated. This video seriously saved my life!
