That's what I observed. It shows the 'reality' of ones true nature of dealing things. Btw, I'm re-watching the movie for gazillion times and have read the books, cuz i much luv Peeta's remark in books haha

They followed a lot of the book. Francis Lawrence said he tried to stick to it as much as possible. Jennifer even spilled accidentally about to epilogue scene with her and Josh holding her nephew and niece to film the epilogue in the Movie where (SPOILER ALERT) Katniss and Peeta were holding their kids. The Parachutes scene were Prim dies, you get a peek of it in this trailer.
Alyssa Williams in my opinion they did a super well job with following the book. A lot of conversations were 1:1 with what the books said. Sure, some things were changed, but I didn't have a problem with any of it.
Jordan Baumer They followed a lot of Catching Fire despite missing three key details, and I think Mockingjay Part 1 was extremely close to detail. If they missed anything in that movie, I couldn't remember it for the life of me. I'm sure they'll be extremely close to detail again, with the only problem being Plutarch's role. Phillip died before he finished his parts in the movie, so I'm not sure how they'll act with that.

Just watched this last Hunger Games movie; but why do I feel so empty? The ending just didn't feel right and there is SO many questions that were left unanswered.
i felt the same. i loved the movie but after EVERYTHING Katniss webt through and had done for the rebels, she just goes home and lives a life with Peeta. which i liked but...thats it? it was like they were alone after that. i expected her to become President and change everything or at least stay in the Capitol and start a life with Peeta and be amongst some friends. no i didnt read the books. and the last scene where she is sitting under the tree with her youngest looking out at Peeta and their son playing. the look on her face just seemed like pergatory. Like it wasn't what she truely wanted. bot at peace. ya know what i mean?
Well she was basically exiled because she murdered that president woman or whatever she was but I agree the last scene it was as if she was resigned to living a life she wasn't particularly happy with, a life of regret perhaps then again she did kill a huge amount of people and that would have to weigh on her mind. The whole movie was just a bit depressing for my liking.

Dryadido I’m a die hard fan of this series so i can’t complain hahahha. But personally i think they could have done it better if they hadn’t split it into two. I kinda had high expectation toward part 2 but it didn’t quite match it (though high enough) so i enjoyed part 1 more. A bit slow but kinda drag you in detail of the consequences of Catching Fire and exploring District 13 which is sth completely new back in in the story.

I want his death to be torturous and I want his guts torn apart, tongue cut off with blood spurting out, and his throat slit and to finish it off I want katniss to put an arrow in his heart! i just watched this movie again, yesterday. at the end, i felt so empty, knowing that half of my favorite characters died. and watching katniss at the very end, being happy, just makes ME feel her pain. it’s like resembling the end with the word “numb”. that’s how i felt after watching the movie.

The part in the capitol with the black liquid still gives me chills 5 years later, it was just so bizzare and disturbing, it seemed like it should have been in a Stephen King book, something about it made it the weirdest and creepiest part of the trilogy for me
I really hope they make part 2 absolutely fantastic... why? Because I would like to see a series end great. I have read the books and I think some parts won't be in there (like all movie-based-books) while new things will be added to make transitions more smooth. Oh well, I hope this goes well.

Kaiya Andrews Mockingjay part 1 was horrible, and boring. My mom loved the previous two, but this one she hated it, my brother hated it, but he enjoyed Insurgent and I have to agree with them. I was excited to see mockingjay part 1, but it was a disappointment.
MrKpopSucks I love Divergent and the Hunger Games equally (maybe thg winning by a bit) but the ending of Divergent was just awfully lazy, so the Hunger Games wins by that. Also, Insurgent did not captivate me as much as Catching Fire did. Plus, I wish the Divergent series had a different director, because the books don't deserve those (crappy) movies.
I don't appreciate how in part 1 they ended it with peeta acting crazy and hes tied down to the table leaving us curious and then in the part 2 trailer they show peeta just fine :/ I was so eager to know how they fixed him and how was he gonna behave in the next movie but in this trailer they just gave it all away :( but other wise looks likes its gonna be the best movie so far.
If you read the book it explains how they try and turn him back to normal, although actually you may see him looking fine but in fact his hands are still shackled because he is still unpredictable

i felt the same. i loved the movie but after EVERYTHING Katniss webt through and had done for the rebels, she just goes home and lives a life with Peeta. which i liked but...thats it? it was like they were alone after that. i expected her to become President and change everything or at least stay in the Capitol and start a life with Peeta and be amongst some friends. no i didnt read the books. and the last scene where she is sitting under the tree with her youngest looking out at Peeta and their son playing. the look on her face just seemed like pergatory. Like it wasn't what she truely wanted. bot at peace. ya know what i mean?
Well she was basically exiled because she murdered that president woman or whatever she was but I agree the last scene it was as if she was resigned to living a life she wasn't particularly happy with, a life of regret perhaps then again she did kill a huge amount of people and that would have to weigh on her mind. The whole movie was just a bit depressing for my liking.

Dryadido I’m a die hard fan of this series so i can’t complain hahahha. But personally i think they could have done it better if they hadn’t split it into two. I kinda had high expectation toward part 2 but it didn’t quite match it (though high enough) so i enjoyed part 1 more. A bit slow but kinda drag you in detail of the consequences of Catching Fire and exploring District 13 which is sth completely new back in in the story.
Anyway i think they should continue the series. I love these types of movies

Katniss shoots Coin instead of Snow to avenge Prim and end the cycle of tyranny, afterward which Snow starts laughing frantically and chokes on his own blood and gets trampled by the crowd in the following chaos. That's how Snow dies in the book anyway.

i just watched this movie again, yesterday. at the end, i felt so empty, knowing that half of my favorite characters died. and watching katniss at the very end, being happy, just makes ME feel her pain. it’s like resembling the end with the word “numb”. that’s how i felt after watching the movie.

Prim death still makes me cry
The part in the capitol with the black liquid still gives me chills 5 years later, it was just so bizzare and disturbing, it seemed like it should have been in a Stephen King book, something about it made it the weirdest and creepiest part of the trilogy for me

Kaiya Andrews Mockingjay part 1 was horrible, and boring. My mom loved the previous two, but this one she hated it, my brother hated it, but he enjoyed Insurgent and I have to agree with them. I was excited to see mockingjay part 1, but it was a disappointment.
MrKpopSucks I love Divergent and the Hunger Games equally (maybe thg winning by a bit) but the ending of Divergent was just awfully lazy, so the Hunger Games wins by that. Also, Insurgent did not captivate me as much as Catching Fire did. Plus, I wish the Divergent series had a different director, because the books don't deserve those (crappy) movies.
I don't appreciate how in part 1 they ended it with peeta acting crazy and hes tied down to the table leaving us curious and then in the part 2 trailer they show peeta just fine :/ I was so eager to know how they fixed him and how was he gonna behave in the next movie but in this trailer they just gave it all away :( but other wise looks likes its gonna be the best movie so far.
If you read the book it explains how they try and turn him back to normal, although actually you may see him looking fine but in fact his hands are still shackled because he is still unpredictable
