- Los Angeles based guitarist Dylan Day has recorded and shared stages with the likes of Jackson Browne, Grace Potter, Amos Lee and most recently Jenny Lewis.
Dylan recently sat down with Gibson to demo the brand new G-45 Studio from Gibson's new New G-45 Series Collection, A New Generation Of Gibson Acoustic Guitars.
The G-45 Studio is designed to provide the perfect mix of tone, performance, and traditional Gibson style for all players and every stage. It represents a new point of entry into Gibson acoustics and a new precedent for sound and quality.
It is hand-built in our Bozeman, Montana factory using time-tested Gibson build techniques like hide-glued dovetail neck joints and domed top braces along with modern features like slimmer body depths and Advanced Response neck profiles. A solid Sitka spruce top and solid walnut back and sides deliver crisp sounds with plenty of wonderful overtones while a Fishman Sonitone pickup captures every nuance for easy plug-and-play at home, in the studio or on stage.

Dylan is one of the players/musicians that impressed/moved me the most since I can remember.. I feel like he’s been in this world 10 times already.. the depth and soul in every chord/note is just on another level.. thank you Gibson, I’ll watch this 100 times 😅

I love my J45 studio - full sounding is the best way I can describe it - and for anyone out there shopping and thinking about price - this guitar is an amazing value; got mine for less than $1,400 out the door. Comes w/very high quality hard case, leather strap, Gibson key ring/pick holder, and the electronics pickup is amazing...sold wood all the way around, shiny finish, beautiful binding and rosette...and the sound is - well you just have to hold the guitar and play it yourself to appreciate it...still can't believe the low price point for this guitar.

I absolutely love the tone from these walnut guitars. They are very different from mahogany J-45's in tone.

@@NgiamTeeEe these are amazing , I have had a standard for over a year now and I swear it sounds better now than when I first got it. I can’t put it down once o start playing it . Unfortunately they’ve discontinued it for some reason but I’m so glad I bought one. You can still purchase one on the used market and I’ve seen a few new ones still lingering but I have a feeling at some point they may increase in value.

No conozco mucho pero creo que la Studio no es Electroacustica, ademas cuenta con un agujero en la parte de arriba del costado.
Just the back and sides are solid walnut in the studio and mahogany on the standard both guitars have Lr baggs electronics
