Took 2 kayaks from Ohio to Northern Georgian Bay - about 550 miles. Followed these instructions on how to mount and tie down the kayaks and had no problems and one was a large fishing kayak. We didn't do any extra tie downs and I often forgot they where there because they were so quiet. We even crossed several bridges with high wind warnings without a hitch! Thanks for the great instructions!!!!!! And just an FYI we were in a minivan not SUV.
and FYI, stern and bow ties are required by most states, and in the event of an accident your insurance most times will not cover the accident if you did not have stern and bow tie downs, if done right it take 60 secs to be covered

Best video to date. I just purchased the same type single bar double cradles,but my rails require brackets that catch the door jams. My problem was the straps. Now on a Camry instead of a taller SUV, this was exactly what I need. Nice job dude!
