    Tight an articulate, these basses sound wonderful. With a great dedication of a timeless style and a modern spin on the sound and design, it's a knockout, that's for sure. Active and passive switching is a wonderful addition to make it a great tool in any bass players arsenal. Great playing and great demo as always!

    These might be my new favorite body...
    Might be the closest I'll ever find to an explorer bass that comes in a 5.

      +marc najjar speaking of pick tone what pick (or picks) do you use? Your pick tones always sound great but mine just sound like fingers with a slightly different attack. I assume its the pick or am I just using it wrong? I've used fingers since I started and only tried pick a few months ago for the sound but like I said it's not very different

    Marc, do you know if the overdrive in that head is produced by saturating the preamp tubes or is it circuit based? Thanks!!

    i would love to get a hold of a heavy relic'd cream one and just play Twiggy riffs all the live long day

    Excellent review! If I want to get a 5 strings, same specs as the 4 strings you showcased first in the video, is it possible? Or do I have to stick with the ones you have in Stock.

    the one you are playing, is that the tobacco sunburst lightly aged model? And is that a 34" or 35"?

    This basses are cool for their sound, their playability and becouse Gibson or epiphone does not make Thunderbirds with maple fingerboard.
    I love maple fingerboard and I think this is the perfect combination :)

      +Yanko Sosa yes! i added a little variation on "Turn on Your Lovelight"

  • @zombiespacebat

    What was that intro riff? Seems familiar?

    • @strangernajjar
      @strangernajjar 9 лет назад

      +zombiespacebat you know, i'm not sure. I thought it needed a clean slap sound, so I "made it up" on the spot. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a legit slap riff from someone (so I apologize if I didn't credit anybody!)
      if you can find an example, send it my way!

    If I become famouse I'll make my custom Gibson Thunderbird with colors and materials of a ripper bass, I think that maple yellow finish would look great on a Thunderbird
