  • The REAL reason Wallabee Beetles, AKA Numbuh 4 was so angry and aggressive in Codename Kids Next Door...
The Kids Next Door was an organization that was packed with some of the toughest and coolest kids you’ll ever see on TV. But almost none of the members of KND proved to be as aggressive or violent as Wallabee Beetles, AKA Numbuh 4. Which is weird when you think about what his parents and the other members of his team were like. After analyzing his character a little further though, the answer to his aggression becomes really clear. And in this case, it has to do with personal insecurities that Numbuh 4 has never learned to deal with.

Maybe his parents secretly wanted a daughter, and made it known in Wally's early years? This could give more depth to his hatred of feminine things, and him being sent to an all girl's boarding school "by accident".

Later Wallaby ends up having to fight his own father and learns that the male adults were kidnapped after trying to attend a “How to be a better dad” seminar, which was a trick.
It’s possible the bullies were targeting people that wanted to go to these seminars because the dads in question could have had violent tendencies they wanted to keep under control. So perhaps Sydney used to be like Wallaby but overcame it through training and help groups.

Good take on Numbuh 4. As much as all of these makes sense, I still really think a not that small piece of it is that he got it from his mom. And Joey in part probably did too. But Wally has a relatively good sense of when his antics are hurting his family.
This makes sense about Numbuh 3. Guys don't typically like to look weak in front of their (female) love interests. This is also a bit how like Helga was to Arnold. A genderbend of sorts. But Numbuh 3 and Arnold are very different from each other. Also, his mom's rage is VERY reminiscent of Numbuh 3's. That's probably a HUGE part of why he fell for her in the first place.

  • @LordRumshi

It was likely his lashing out and impulsive behavior could be a combination of his insecurities and how his parents never seem to talk things out with him. Since Numbuh 4 is pretty much an idiot, as seen throughout the series run, and so he puts on the facade of how he’s a “tough guy” and “the best at (insert here)” to hide his shortcomings. And him escaping from boarding school(s) every time he acts out, showcases his parents would rather just have someone else in “fixing” his behavior than put in the effort to helping their son. Plus helps his reputation as the “toughest kid around” by escaping from so many boarding schools he gets sent to.

Honestly, it could be something more odd. Wally is from Australia. Australians were depicted as tough manly men , and not having a true understanding of how Australians normally at, he may have thought men like Crocodile Dundy or Steve Irwin who dealt with dangerous animals was how he should act.

Okay, I could swear that it was mentioned multiple times that Numbuh 5 was the best hand to hand fighter in the KND, the only person who was ever better than her, was her older sister who taught her to fight.

I would say it, both, because of his father not stepping up to the plate and teaching his son on how to control his aggression, So number four was too afraid to ask his father what it is to be a man and thought the stereotype method would be best

I'm pretty sure numbuh 4 was just supposed to be the dumb strong guy stereotype who broke down doors instead of using a key and his parents were designed to make him look like the odd one out for comedic purposes. All the kids next door are based off of popular archetypes with a twist.

Another thing to note is that when Wally’s ferocity was taken from him in the caramel episode, he was shown wearing a light PINK hoodie. This means if he wasn’t bullied or insecure or lowkey abused, he might’ve been more comfortable with “girly” things.
    Poor Wally :(

I also think part of it is just that's who he is. Some kids just play rough, boy or girl. I imagine the Beetles may have all been kids that could've played rough and just calmed down once they got older and playing became less important. So, I'm not worried about, say, Joey being violent. The only thing that concerns me is the boarding school stuff, but that rarely seems to come up.

I always thought they sent him to boarding school after everything else they did failed that to reach him. Also maybe his mom and dad as kids were like him as Number 4 as an adult seems more chill. So to them sending a kid who is out of control like him to a place were you hope he learns to fly right before its to late.
Number 4 is hard headed we see it all the time. He does what he wants to do and goes were he wants to go. In the EP his mom got mad she only got mad after he kept on playing ball in the house after she said no and breaking the vase.
Number 4 is old enough to understand being told no, but he still acts on his wants.

  • @JoshuaOdionson
    @JoshuaOdionson Месяц назад

I always kind of figured that 4 felt like he wasn't getting enough attention from his parents as it was, and then his little brother came home, so he was then getting even less attention, so he began to act out to get attention. As this continued to fail, being a child and not knowing how to express or possibly even understand his own emotions, he just continued to turn up the aggression. When we saw him interact with his dad, his dad didn't seem to know him all that well but was genuinely trying as best as his dad could. So when he really began acting out which resulted in him getting sent to boarding schools, his parents did that because they felt like they were already in over their heads and didn't know what else to do, possibly not having time to properly or healthily deal with their child. Does it make it right? No, I'm not saying that. His parents likely just lacked the experience of what to do with a kid that's acting out so violently and just missed the signs along the way.

It is also hinted at that he looked more androgynous. So he got mistaken for a girl. That is part of the reason that the boarding school episode, and being forced into a tea party irritated him. And his parents had wanted a daughter so they always tried pushing him toward girly things.

But sadly, his intelligence came late, probably after he turns 13 years old, as he mentions that he graduated medical school from Harvard with honours, though there is a possibility he could be a secret young adult operative for the KND and was not totally decommissioned.
It stated by Maurice and later Chad that there are teens and young adults who are secretly working for the KND so that they can infiltrate any teen ninja hideout and evil adult groups
