got into nascar over the weekend. went to south point 400 in person, saw him doing autographs at local bass pro. he became our favourite nascar driver instantly…only to find out he’s retiring soon 😢
I had the priviledge of being at Dover, yes on Monday, to witness his first Cup win. I still have the MTJ T-shirt I was wearing but I'm a bit more um robust to wear it now. Hey it was a long time ago and I've grown as a man literally.

Martin did not stay with Sherry til the end. Furthermore, his statement when she died was hardly devastaing. Don't give him credit where it's not deserved.
They broke up in January 2023, 8 months before she passed. My 10 year old son asked him to sign a hat years ago and martin acted so put out. He was on a golf cart headed back to his motorhome so nobody was around. He signed it but with a rotten attitude. Haven’t cared for him ever since
Love that guy he’s awesome. I even like him more now that I’ve watched these videos of him. What a true NASCAR driver.

Yep today was his last one. I’ve watched Martin for a long long time and he has always been cool.
just to clarify, truex has 1 cup series championship (2017) and 2 xfinty series championships (2004-2005)
He was also the cup regular
season champ 2 times.
