Here in the Philippines, there are Hoya obscura with white, yellow and orange flowers. Some varities has combination of yellow and pink flowers in the same umbel

Hahahah, that usually helps 🤣 They're drought tolerant, but they don't want to dry out for more than a few days. I water my small ones every 5 to 7 days and the larger ones every 7 to 10 days, depending on the season of course, they dry slower in winter 😊
Hi Jaclynn, I received an obscura (small rooted cutting) late last year and it’s growing well but I always wanted a sunrise in my collection too. After seeing the comparison of blooms I’m going to settle for the obscura and see if I can get some sun stress happening. Thanks for sharing such an interesting video and I’ve now subscribed.

I was gifted obscura seeds with a Dischidia Bengalensis I purchased recently. It's always so nice to receive an unexpected gift with an order. Now I hope I can grow them because it's really a beautiful Hoya. I have the sunrise but I kinda like the obscura a bit better.

Can I ask if all hoyas grow in spagnum or can the be grown in soil? A few hoyas that I have bought at a local nursery are in dirt and then some others,from a different grower in my area, have them in moss..
Once they have roots they can be put into any medium you like! People tend to root in moss, some growers may keep and sell them that way to avoid them drying out and because it's easier than repotting! So it varies!

I meant to include Rebecca in here, but I didn't wanna confuse anyone, lol. Rebecca is like the little sister to Sunrise. Slightly smaller leaves and the sunstressing isn't as deep maroon!! Sunrise is a cross between a larger leafed Lacunosa and Obscura, while Rebecca is a cross between a different Lacunosa variety and Obscura! When mine gets bigger I can do another comparison video with the Sunrise and Rebecca!! But Obscura is certainly much larger and rounder than both!! My Rebecca is the smallest leafed out of all 3 🥰

Someone said it was obscura and another said it was sunrise. I searched up the difference and found your video. I feel like the obscura has bigger and shinier leaves than the sunrise, the sunrise has almost matt leaves.
