But one would think he would realize that people are able to easily get 200k miles out of their EVs compared to being lucky to get near that with the average ICE vehicle. Hey, Scotty! Stop being afraid of the future!
Scottys views were formed in the 70s when Toyota seemed like something from the future. He can't accept that Japanese cars are on their way out and have had their day. EVs from the US and China will be the future.
I agree with Scotty on the hydrogen. Those canisters look a lot smaller than the main tanks in the diagram. I wonder what the range on those canisters are. On the EVs, Scotty totally misses the boat. For one thing, he conveniently leaves out Norway, which gets plenty cold and 80% of new cars sales there are EVs. Also, more than half the cars on the road in Norway are EVs. Also, Scotty leaves out that newer batteries are getting better and better in cold weather, and he leaves out that sodium batteries don't degrade hardly at all in the cold. He also leaves out that governments have a vested stake to reduce CO2 emissions. The truth is that EVs are getting better at a rate faster than ICE cars. If the U.S. and Canadian govs ignore EVs then they will find themselves in a place where their ice cars can't compete with cheap Chinese EVs. We need battery factories. We need EV infrastructure. Otherwise, Ford and GM cars will end up next to the horse and buggy exabit at the museum which we get to with Chinese cars.

My husband was a truly great mechanic and my brother n law was by him considered the greatest genius mechanic he ever saw and he hooked up a hydrogen converter to his motor on his car and it got 50 miles per gallon , but he did live in the south
No he didn't. Tons of whackos on youtube do the same thing and make the same claims. We never actually see the proof though. You can't really use hydrogen in a combustion engine. Hydrogen gas in the piston chamber prevents the gasoline from combusting. You're listening to stories. Mythbusters did an episode on this actual claim. BUSTED!
First of all I love your channel. If you have an electric car and a house it's a stronger case. When you know you are going to be driving long distance you can tell the car to charge up to 100% because you are going to use the power and it's not going to sit in the battery. So if tomorrow you are going to be going out of town you tell the car to charge up to 100%. Then you can recharge it to 100% if you need that much more range. It does take 30 minutes or so to charge at a charging station but you also need a break after 250 miles of driving anyway. Teslas know what the lines are like and plan for you to go to a less busy station automatically along your route. Also everytime you get into the car you have more than enough distance to make your dialy commute 99% of the time. In this case you never need to go to a charging station for normal daily driving. You don't have range anxiety for daily driving. Fueling a car with electricity at home is also way cheaper than gasoline. It's also much lower cost to maintain an electric vehicle as it never needs a fluid change outside of washer fluid. You don't have belts or pumps or radiators to wear out. There are no transmissions either. You rarely if ever need a brake job because you rarely use the brakes thanks to the regenrative braking system in the car. I'm an old dog myself and I love my gasoline car but I'm pretty sure the future is going to end up being electric. It's just a matter of time. God help the mechanic industry and the oil change stations because there isn't a future out there for them with electric cars.
Exactly. As a hardcore skeptic it only took me a week with my friends BYD to be a convert to EVs. Honestly gas cars almost feel like some kind of 19th century coal fired tech after the limitless acceleration from what feels like a clean solid state nuclear fusion powerplant that an EV provides.
The first two out of the last three times I went to a particular Burger King I ordered two double cheeseburgers and they didn't have pickles, too much ketchup and mustard and on one of them one slice of cheese was half way out. The last time I went there I asked the employee at the drive up window to please make sure my meal was made correctly and why. Even though they got it right I chose not to go back to that location. I didn't call the cops. 😳🙄
Toyotas fuel cell vehicle, Mirai has a range of 402 miles. With a refill time of 5 minutes. Yes we have few "stations" to fill these, but hydrogen IS a viable alternative if a commitment is made to build hydrogen stations.
So gas engines will charge batteries to make hydrogen from water and then using the hydrogen to make water and energy? Sounds more inefficient than a government agency.
Mr Kilmer, you are the best! We love your videos, very informative, educational and funny. I have a question: My 1995 Acura Legend coupe speedometer only goes up to 30mph, transmission doesn’t shift to higher gear and ABS light is on. D4(gear indicator) flashes and if I drive 60 mph, check engine lights up. I swapped the Speed Sensor with a working one, but it didn’t fix the problem. Thank you in advance.
The joke of it is that Ontario is subsidizing the two crappiest companies for Ev battery production, Stellantis and Volkswagen. When I heard who they were subsidizing, I couldn't believe they'd subsidize the two companies that are most likely to go out of business. A third company, Honda, is getting a small subsidy and is most likely to be the most successful out of the 3.

Otherwise, Ford and GM cars will end up next to the horse and buggy exabit at the museum which we get to with Chinese cars.
Seen a video of two Michigan State police officers looking to work a little corruption. Sounds kind of incriminating.
Toyota to invent car that runs on energy created by Scotty's arm and.hand movements.
E.V.? Eating Bugs for Protein?....HARD PASS!! I'll keep my diesel, thank you. And maybe buy a diesel Hilux for good measure.
SOMEHOW Tesla beats estimates and with a positive outlook again.
And SOMEHOW Kamala is polling fairly well.
The explanation for both mysteries is the large number of morons in this country.
HELL SCOTTY,
I can’t follow this
Scotty .... we have 1 Prime Minister which would be equal to your president and that is Mr True Doh .... Mr Ford would be like one of your Senators except a Province is the size of a few of your states ..... I live in BC and the weather on the southern coast of BC would be the same as Los Angeles ..TONS of EVs here that die when it gets cold a few weeks a year .... I am due to buy a vehicle and I'd rather walk than buy electric or hybrid
Anybody who goes to any fast food restaurant and expects quality is short on brain cells and taste buds. Burger king is arguably the worst fast food restaurant too.... maybe Hardee's
EV is for people who have to go home every day, have a charger at driveway, under 1 hour driving every day.
Ford is the Premier of the province of Ontario. The Prime Minister of Canada is Trudeau.
I wish Scotty was my neighbor
That's RIGHT 🎉🎉😂😅😊
Ik 😢😢
My husband was a truly great mechanic and my brother n law was by him considered the greatest genius mechanic he ever saw and he hooked up a hydrogen converter to his motor on his car and it got 50 miles per gallon , but he did live in the south
No he didn't. Tons of whackos on youtube do the same thing and make the same claims. We never actually see the proof though. You can't really use hydrogen in a combustion engine. Hydrogen gas in the piston chamber prevents the gasoline from combusting. You're listening to stories. Mythbusters did an episode on this actual claim. BUSTED!
Interesting on the hydrogen technology as an alternative. We’ll see how it will develop in the future.

Hi Scotty
Love the vids
Underestimating hydrogen. 1 lettre would get you 1000km or 600 miles for our USA dummies KEKW ;)
Your channel is a source of inspiration and wisdom. Thank you for your dedicated creativity and kindness!🧀🟫🥳
I really appreciate your attention to detail and quality. Your videos are always top notch!🌛🏚✊
This about as dumb as an EV with a AA batteries compartment.
Hey Scotty, I hear Santa's 🎅running his sleigh this year on batteries🔋 instead of reindeer!🦌
No Christmas!
Light bulbs are little, they changed the world !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not without energy they wouldn't.
Diabolical!!!
Is the sky active tech in Mazda not already 0 emissions?
No

Toyotas fuel cell vehicle, Mirai has a range of 402 miles. With a refill time of 5 minutes. Yes we have few "stations" to fill these, but hydrogen IS a viable alternative if a commitment is made to build hydrogen stations.
if they make those, expect some home made chaos
Canada should just pay their share of the NATO budget!! 😂
We are too busy sending money to Ukraine
It's unwise to make fun of Toyota, Scotty!
Hydrogen/hybrid is an option..
So gas engines will charge batteries to make hydrogen from water and then using the hydrogen to make water and energy? Sounds more inefficient than a government agency.
Mr Kilmer, you are the best! We love your videos, very informative, educational and funny.
I have a question:
My 1995 Acura Legend coupe speedometer only goes up to 30mph, transmission doesn’t shift to higher gear and ABS light is on. D4(gear indicator) flashes and if I drive 60 mph, check engine lights up. I swapped the Speed Sensor with a working one, but it didn’t fix the problem. Thank you in advance.
I've got the peddle to the metal Scotty ... little hamsters 🐹 just a peddling like crazy.
Go Trump.
To where?
9:18 I guess you can’t always have it your way at Burger 🍔 King 🤴…..right officer 👮♀️🙄?
😂dumb hydrogen cars
Those batteries look familiar...I really need to play new Vegas soon
TRUMP WILL BE ON ROGAN FRIDAY!! ❤
Guess cars in the future wont be using a Mr Fusion instead of hydrogen to power cars. 😉
How Scotty uncle you making 3 videos a day 😮
Car + a trailer (with a load of cartridges) LOL!
Trump 2024 from Oregon!
Hi Scotty. 👋
I'm surprised they didn't consult with you, first.
Yeah, they would have saved a great deal of money @Marty-j9e
I see.
