When I was in the marching band at an HBCU, we had one just like him. He also played the trumpet, so did I. And he brought the funk just like this guy. The crowd loved him
This guy has earned his rightful spot as Drum major in Highschool and now at an HBCU...some talent just can't be denied...I dont care what color you are!
He is a beloved treasure in his hometown. No one thinks ill of him here. It's all love...from all races. Dude is talented...and a kind respectful young man.

My son and daughter were in band. The band was high stepping also. My son was shy about dancing. I told him to dig deep, he had it in him. During halftime the performance was great. He danced. I was so proud of him and The E.E. Smith Golden Bulls. ❤❤ this young man is awesome.

He is an amazing entertainer, and not because he has unbelievable grace or unique dancing skills, but because he knows his audience. He is similar to the conductor of a three ring circus big top. He has a commanding presence, is a natural leader, takes his position seriously, while leaving us with the wiggling question of whether to take his performance seriously or not.
I’ve watched this about a billion times trying to imagine myself doing that without accidentally flinging my mellophone across the room. I admire his talent, confidence, and obvious enjoyment.
