What a great idea to mitre the edges with another die. I will try that next time I’m making binding.

I have an accuquilt cutter but havent used it. I wa nt to use it to cut my binding strips. All of the videos i have watched already have the fabric pre folded. I need a video that shows me how to fold the fabric, which way the selvedges face, etc.

You take the fabric just as it comes off the bolt. The fold is placed at the top of the die that goes into the machine first. The selvages are at the other side. Hope this helps.

Good video, thanks for the tips. Can I ask you a question about the machine; how long have you been using it and does it work properly? There are lots of mixed reviews on it, so many people mentioned it stopped working after a while as it's electronic one.....

I have had the electric go a little over a year and it works great. So far so good!

I’ve had my Go big for over 5 years and it runs great. When I took a class using the GoBig, it would stop cutting. But we had over 20 people using it, and it would need a rest. After a few minutes, it would cut again. At home, it has stopped a few times, but it is usually something I’ve done wrong (too many layers, etc). I don’t use it everyday, as I don’t need to cut everyday, but it has allowed me to keep quilting. I have arthritis in my shoulder and hands, and cutting the fabric was very painful, and not accurate. This cuts every piece accurate so sewing them together is a breeze. A few years ago, I made a queen size quilt with over 1000 half square triangles, and the AccuQuilt cut every piece so accurately, the sewing was a breeze. I would never have attempted this quilt without this cutter.
