This course teaches you 3 ways to perform harmonics on ukulele! You'll learn 1 technique for producing natural harmonics and 2 techniques for producing artificial harmonics.
We'll start by breaking down the mechanics behind executing each technique. Next, you'll learn multiple exercises that help to deeply embed the new techniques into your playing repertoire. Lastly, you'll put it all together to perform a unique take on "Amazing Grace"; which as you guessed, is performed entirely by using harmonics!

I've been wondering how this was done for years. With your video, I did it right away! I can't believe it was that simple. Your so good at teaching, gonna sub because of that
Thank you so much! I’ve been struggling how to figure out how to do this and other videos didn’t explain this in-depth about the placement of the fingers and vibration of the string. When I did it I got it the first time nice and clear.
Intro was so fire
Love how you took your time to explain this concept!
Really good lesson! Thank you very much!
the 12th fret is so easy i did it by placing my finger next to the string
Thanks
Thank you
❤ i love it.. thanks...
Great video!
But how do you create that tap harmonic you did in the beginning? Does it depend on the ukulele? Because i am using a pretty cheap one 🤷🏽
Hi Ivo! It shouldn't make a difference as long as you have enough frets to perform the taps on. If you only have a soprano, you can only tap up to the 12th fret.
To learn how to tap, check out Module 3, Unit 2: rockclass101.com/natural-artificial-harmonics/
Hey Andrew,
i noticed something "funny", when you go near the first fret it's the lower notes, but for harmonics it seems to be the opposite they are higher and higher when you go near the first frets, well till the 5 fret for the last one i guess. Also i think, if i'm not mad, that there is an harmonic in 9 (pretty hard to make it ring), and what is strange is that it is higher than 7th harmonic and maybe also the 5th, so it does not follow the rule i noticed for those harmonics going higher and higher ^^
Harmonics are really interesting if you look into the physics behind them. Check out this post where we linked a video talking about this: rockclass101.com/forums/topic/harmonics/

I don't understand how you achieve the taps, when I tap my string it makes no sound. It would make sense if this was using the pinch method but it doesn't, how does the tap work, pls help
If you need a little bit more help with the tapping technique, check out Module 3, Unit 2: rockclass101.com/natural-artificial-harmonics/
That lesson breaks down and explains the mechanics behind performing the technique 😊
can I play harmonics on a soprano? the soprano only goes to the 12th fret...
You can do natural harmonics and artificial ones for the open strings :)
@@RockClass101 thanks!! I figured it out...
