It was a prebuilt turbox pc (well known in Greece), originally with a celeron 266 and 32 MB ram. You can find this motherboard in Packard bell systems also. It runs smooth as long as the resolution is under 640 x 480 x 16!
@@spyros86 Yep I purchased a mini tower from packard bell with that board but still need to replace all the capacitors, I found a board that work and look like new last week and can hardly wait for it to arrive, seems like a pretty cool MS-DOS early Windows as you are showing in these videos!
@@RetroTinkerer I wish you to enjoy it to the max !!! It's a very reliable board ! It has survived my 12 year old self untill now ! I would like to test it on pure dos with a cacheless 266 celeron. Maybe sometime in the future !
Thank god that TR1 have OpenLara and TR1X open source engine :P Or TRLE which is TR4 engine that uses DirectX
The 8MB version is even better as it allows you to run the same games at higher resolutions at a higher frame rate.
If I had the 8MB version I would like to test some games that have locked resolution 320 X 240 with my card (4MB). Thanks for leaving the comment !
You must try the wipeout rage 3d edition that was spectacular back then in 1996
Thanks ! Very good idea !
Was this a prebuilt hp, compaq, dell, or emachines? I know oems used 3d rage pro a lot back then. Kinda surprised everything ran so smooth!
