@pagooo 242 stars to be exact. 121 with Mario/Yoshi/Luigi and 121 with a secret character (unconfirmed). Possibly Wario. Example: SM64DS-Mario, Yoshi, Luigi, and Wario are playable characters.
@shadowlight274 there's a pipe behind the first big tree, and in there are lots of coins. apart from that, just jump on every enemy, and collect every coin
hey at 0:15 you can see down there "clear time" that means you need to search the star in the entire galaxy? nice, and the secret star are really hidden, not like in smg you see a "?" in a star when you get the three normal stars, this time is a really challenger game
If there are really 240 stars in SMG2 and only 2 regular stars and 1 hidden star in each galaxy, except for the final galaxy for each world (1), then there must be a lot more than 6 worlds. If you do the math, the total number of galaxies in the game would be around 80, not including the final boss ones. There must be something wrong here

@shatgan well every game system has athere problems XBOX IS LOUD AS HELL AND ITS INTERNET PLAY ISNT FREE ps3 has a short life span and it has no games for children 2 play its all mature and wii duh the graphics suck but i think they dont i think the wii is the best

No it's confirmed now that there are 120 all new stars after you get first 120.

This is a very well made game :), but the wii sucks, even with composite cables wii graphics look crappy
