Don't listen to critics! This is a soul stirring simple effect that soothes the mind and spirit.
Beautiful! I love it. I like this two minute video even better than the 40 second one. I blew it up to full screen and saw almost every detail. Almost a surreal feeling. Wonderfully done Eirik. Keep touching the soul.
I have just watched your vid. one year in 40 seconds, and this is equally beautiful, so thank you again. It is amazing to be an eye-witness to the great in-breath and out-breath of mother nature in this way.
Well done! This is truly amazing how you capture all the seasons from the same spot.
Happy New Year!
From your neighbours across the North Sea in England!
Love this. Preferred your one year in 40 seconds, and after viewing it on Vimeo I downloaded it to my ps3 from your site. Very impressive.
Truly beautiful. I had to read how they were done since there were several things which seemed wrong (like branches disappearing then re-appearing, clouds in the sky lasting for a couple of seconds, etc). The technique that Eirik used does explain how these things would occur. Bravo!
Really pretty video! Congratulations Eirik!
Brilliant video....i used your example to explain to my 7 year old boy of the changing 4 seasons.Your video opened his eyes and mind.Thankyou for posting
Very nice, the photos and also all the sound effects!! Congrats!!
This is just totally beautiful... especially if you watch it in HD. I love it.
Great work on getting all the pictures from the same spot, whenever I try I can't seem to get it right. Beautiful stuff, nice to see a video on youtube that's worth seeing in HD!
This is really cool. I actually tried doing this last spring to capture the trees growing their leaves, but clearly didn't give enough thought to it (I couldn't get the camera in the same exact position for every shot). Bravo.
Yes, I'm getting old... seen lots of seasons,
and, it's alright! -I thank you!
Brilliant!!!
This is sooo beautiful. Especially the end where the winter comes. So cool!
That was really good. Whatever inspired you to do this is a good source for ideas.
Absolutely beautiful. Thankyou. X
Once again this is awesome!
Lovely, fantastic video.
There are many instances I have wasted seconds and minutes from you-tube videos, I get them all back and more from watching this one.
Thanks for sharing this. It's so beautiful.
Absolutely stunnin'. Well put together, man. An' no sign of the wind torn polythene bag!! :D
Thank you for this. This is an awesome video.
That's really pretty, some good photos in themselves as well actually. It looks incredibly better in HD =)

this came out one day before my first year on earth..
What a gift to the human race. Thank you, Eirik. Thank you.

Thanks! didn't see it in description, but found it in tags
nice job!
lol i didnt even notice there was a house in the background until i watched it again in HD
This is video is really something. Thank you so much, Eirik! It's a pity that the Norwegian director Morten Skallerud still haven't published on RUclips, because your film and "A Year Along the Abandoned Road" should be friends :-) Search RUclips for an unofficial copy of Morten's film. I'll let him watch yours, for sure!
wow cool vid! how did u have that much energy in ur camera? or did u cut it up and recharge ur camera every now and then? its really amazing how seasons effect the world over time. it never stops changing. ever.
Congratulations! Doing something like this over a year and all the editing requires patience delayed gratification and passion. Thank you for doing what all of us could but few of us do!
Wonderful
Love the home❤
Congratulations!
Awesome!!!
Beautiful! Thanks
you should set up a time-lapse camera at the sky and get the changing of the constellations. if you have a good dark view of polaris you might even be able to pick up the wobble in the equatorial poles.
I like your way of thinking :)
amazing.
Great video!5 stars! It reminds me of my old dog Guinness
This is the best time i've ever had watching grass grow. Seriously.
Well done.
I loved it. How did you get the wind not to blow? It's like, well, there was no wind. No movement. I'm astounded.
Very good!
Wow, very cool!
great video
The poetry of the earth is never dead.
After it is over, speed it up to a 30 second vid using your cursor.. You will see that the main trunk is used as a tool to align the shot.. And the branches do move.
REAL! Awesome work.. 5stars
wonderful
the magic word is photo morf ;-)
nice work done.. the sound makes it even more worth it (5*)
Thats SO COOL!
5/5
amazing!! how you eliminate light variation.
this is cool!
blows your mind, really ;)
I don't understand why people are saying it's fake since the branches aren't(apparently) moving.
The problem is that they were actually moving since it's kind of blurry.
At first I though this was a video, but then realized it never turned night...
this video is great like your other video!! 5/5!
I liked seeing the leaves change colors
Very cool...
its amazing :)
Very nice!
Notice how the branches NEVER move. They stay in the same spot, constantly. I'm sure wind, rain, etc. would have made some sort of movement in the branches.
Nice video. I recommend watching in HD, quality is very good.
Yea it looks awesome in HD.
wow.
if you click and hold the time dot thing for the vid, and drag it slowly from the beginging to the end it'll play in fast motion and be pretty cool.
nice video and great edititng...keep it up...
Hi there. great movie!
most have being tough to take all those shots (not missing to many days in between).
i have a suggestion, maybe you should start the video when everything is green and blooming, and end it when everything is green.
i just think it would be more pleasant to watch. although it wouldn't be as authentic.
anyhow, great work!!!
This is so beautiful, again, thank you.
If Norway doesn't have the same complete insanity as the US, may I move there, pretty please?
I wish I had seen birds, but I suppose your photography moments made them fly away temporarily. ^_^
Thank you.
Well done!;)
so cool..... !!
very nice
how do you do it?
if you don't mind me asking...
I like your other version (in 46 secs.) better - but this is cool, tool. Is that the same house through the trees as in the other version??
Very well done, did you use a tripod to keep the exact focus and tree details?
Wow - that is some winter freeze!
Amazing! 5*
That really is HD!!!
