    Another great video, always looking forward to your next one in my notifications. Have a deposit down on a Trail 125, suppose to be in by March. Slowly acquiring accessories for it. Your videos have helped a ton on picking them out. How is the clearance with the rear tire and the fender? Saw on the forums someone said the it could possibly rub if the suspension bottomed out.

    • @ridewithwarro
      @ridewithwarro  3 года назад

      i suppose that could happen and more so with the stock suspension with no adjustments but with the yss i have heaps of adjustment to do cover that side or i think so.
      the guy who sellsthe tyres here in oz sells heaps to the local postie style nikes and never mentioned any drama with them rubing on those bikes.
      i gues it would depend upon how hard one rides em. i can fit my hand easily between tyre and guard for clearance if that helps.

    I've never understood tire sizes, some in inches and some in mm. I have the stock sizes on my Ct 125, 80/90-17. I would like to upgrade them as everyone says that the Honda stock tires are not very good. I was thinking of buying some Shinko 241 tires, maybe 2.75 on the front and 3.00 on the rear, but isn't a 3.00 tire even narrower than the stock 80 mm tire that I have already? I wouldn't mind going slightly wider but definitely not narrower!

    It looked to me like your tire changing technique is perfect. The only thing I would do differently is to coat the inner tube with talcum powder and to use some soapy water as a bead lubricant. That would make the job even easier. I have been changing motorcycle tires for the past 50 years and that change looked a lot easier than any that I have done. Some of my larger sport touring tubeless tires have been real nightmares to change as their sidewalls can be very stiff and require lots of force, lubricant and the proper technique to get them on and off. Plus, many times they are reluctant to seat properly on the wheel, requiring as much as 80 psi, shoved in rapidly using an air tank, before they will loudly pop and be seated completely around the edge of the wheel rim. No fun, but I like a challenge. lol

      rear shocks you can buy two types in yss cheaper type similar to stock with 5 way preload for roughly $150 delivered or the more expensive gas version black edition from thailand too for roughly $500 either lot do the job depends on your finances.
      dont think you'll increase ride height but you will firm up the rear suspension quite a bit and it wont drop much at all
