Aha!! The 707s!! This means they can hypothetically do longer services in futute similar to 465/9s. We shall see if that happens. They would absolutely be faster than a class 375s by a good margin. Multiple units 10 cars on 707 would BLITZ the 375s to 100mph.
Not sure about that - look, I know the 375s don't have the fastest start, but the high end acceleration is ridiculously good. 707s do tail off a bit past 50mph though they are faster off the mark. I still doubt they would blitz a 375 to 100 though
@SolomonClarkeTrains-nw1sf i have the confudence theyd win. 707s starting acceleration tapers off but the acceleration is quite continuous beyond 50mph even if it dies of slightly. The reality is 377/6s are more likely to contend with them. But even so id place my bets on 707s to win.
