Wow this is one of the most underrated songs on Born This Way album. She’s basically saying how she will always be our queen and we can always look up to her when we need her to ease our troubles and pain. “When you run dry I’ll flood your pain” means she’ll restore our happiness. “Don’t forget me when I come crying to heaven’s door... I will fly like a phoenix across the sky so you can remind them of the dream I bore” means that once she dies, she will gain fame and to remind the younger generation of Gaga’s message. If I remember correctly, she wrote this song after meeting so many broken little monsters who were getting kicked out of their houses for being gay and they were being bullied so she said she wanted to be a mother figure to all of us.
This song is so sad! How I perceive these lyrics are that it's about Gagas future demise. How she wants to become the Queen of Pop, and how she wants to be remembered after her death: "Dont forget me when I come crying to heaven's door" and "Like a PHOENIX (the resurrect of her fame once she dies) so you can remind THEM(the next generation) of the dream I bore." Dont think she means this in a greedy way. More like she want's her "message" to live on in the future. Gaga we will always love you!

A challenger across the sky (don’t stop me know) killer queen inside me (killer queen), the Phoenix on queen’s crest represented Freddie Mercury, I think she’s talking about seeing him in heaven and hoping he’s proud of her. Not to mention her name comes from references to two queen songs. It’s not sad, it’s beautiful and proud.

i read the story of this incident on wikipedia and after i was done, i was almost in tears. bullies from buffalo ruined jamey's chances of living a great life. they actually had the nerve to chant that they were thrilled about his death at a school dance. the part where it said lady gaga dedicated the song Hair to him in support & memory made me feel wondeful. it just proves that she is a wonderful person, and it also proves that ppl actually had faith in jamey. i love ur post :). paws up!

It's so powerful and personal, especially some songs like Dope, Do what you want, Applause, Swine, Fashion!, Gypsy, even Aura.
