Great quality/money value, you get a whole battery + extras for the price of 2 metal canons with crew. Their British artillery even got limbers included.
I like the crewman with hands on the wheel of the cannon. If you are using putty or some basing material to hide the figure base then you will need to keep in mind the arms of said crewman will need to be higher. This will allow for the cannon to be placed on the basing leveling material and at the final level with the arms. A technique is to place a washer or coin under the cannon before arms are glued on. Then base the washer right into the stand.
Is there any difference between the 1812 artillery for the French and the 1815 set for the French? i am trying to put together something for Waterloo and I just assume there must be some old French art. there.
records exist information that the color of chippings.. records give that the color was obtained by using a mixture of yellow ochre and black of 80 to 1 ratio....a olive green for guns n limbers.. the gribeauval system ...was used uniforms changed ....but on artillery i am still looking and reading all my books i know to answer that question there are a couple of answers that are right. talk soon John.
Then you likely have the 1812-1815 version set (the year XI System), with a six pounder and howitzer. Victrix # VX0018. There are other differences, no unlimbered position on the carriage for the barrel, no ammunition box. Not sure how accurate the sculpt is.

liked the review. Might I suggest liquid cement so as to avoid the "hairy glue" effect? :)
Nice review, could you do some painted comparations of 28mm figures? Cheers
Excellent video, very helpful, thanks for posting.

Rusty Gold
Yes! Hope Victrix is listening/reading!
are they taller than the perrys? they look long and lanky
nice review I'm love napoleonics
Be nice if victrix did a few more Napoleonics , like cavalry,
So no canons after 1812?
My set had different guns! I got an 8lb gun and a howitzer?

is it in 28mm scale?
Yes.
Are Victrix minis compatible in size with warlord or Perry ? Cheers
I think Victrix actually makes Warlord's Black Powder minis, so my guess would be yes. Perry are also the same size.
Definitely compatible with Perry. Not 100% sure of Warlord as I've not seen any close up. Should be really close.
Cheers
What is true scale vs. heroic scale??
Heroic scale tend to be bulkier and out of proportion with with actual humans and equipment. Huge swords and guns, Schwarzenegger-like bodies.
Come on guys... add a howitzer to the pack so GdB/GdA/LaSalle players are all set!
you get no bases with it?
The crew have attached bases but their isn't a large square or round base to mount them on.
“Infantry spruce” Ha ha! Mate, they’re “Gunners”..... nice video though....sorry I was Royal Artillery! #UBIQUE
