This whole Alaska series has been one great video after another. I've said it before, but the A+K video and editing skills are crazy good. I loved the extended views of the salmon working their way upstream.

Everytime I go to Whittier to work, I think how blessed I am to be able to see it. I have been there at least 6 or 7 times, but the people who see your videos don't really get to see the whole impact of the dramatic landscape like you did. The mountains are so much bigger in real life.

Those zoomed in shots of the glaciers are so well done! Great camera work as always. The tunnel reminds me of this tunnel in Switzerland where you ride in your car on a train! It's kind of terrifying lol
This is one of my favorite videos you both have shared with us. I watched a PBS documentary of Whittier and thought for sure I would love to visit this place the next time I go to Alaska. Yet, you took it to another level with the hikes on trails that were not even discussed on the PBS show. The highlight, yes, was the salmon! Thank you for giving another beautiful view of Alaska
OMG! What an incredible experience! So beautiful and such a great pay off at the end if that trail. With all the berries and salmon I'm surprised there were no bears sharing that trail with you. You guys always make me smile with your videos, so great to travel along with you guys!!
When I was in Alaska in 1987, I took a tour bus from Anchorage to Whittier, and our bus drove onto a train to go through the tunnel. The wait for the train was hardly boring -- there must have been 30 bald eagles roosting in trees along the track. In Whittier, we boarded a boat and cruised to Valdez. We saw a couple of orcas. Thank you for taking us with you.
What an adventure! One for the ages! This video was unique and beautifully done. The salmon, the berries, the trails, waterfalls, lakes, icebergs, the tunnel, and those mountains! Another world! Whittier looks so charming and beautiful and of course, anything Corps of Engineers is close to my heart. I worked for the Savannah COE for 25 years! Thanks for taking us along this epic trip! And I will definitely try that African peanut recipe!❤️
I've watched all your Alaska journey videos. I took a road trip from Fairbanks to Kenai peninsula back in 2009. Went to Portage Glacier, whale watched and saw Orcas and walked up to Exit Glacier. It has receded so much from when I was there. Thank you for this video series and last year I cruised the inside passage whuch was amazing. This makes me want to road trip again. Alaska is so beautiful!!!

Oh my word everywhere you look the view is just magical and awesome. The mud though was insane!! The salmon making their way upstream is just, I have no words. They get to where they need to be with such determination, bruised and battered but but victorious. I can certainly learn a lot from that. Take good care.

Whoa!! Literally just in awe over the beauty of Alaska. Also kinda sad that your AK series is almost done, BUT you two pump out such quality content that you could literally film paint drying and it would still be an amazing/captivating video!
Glad you found the Emerald Cove trail. That road extension to the new trail head is only a few years old. Prince William Sounds flora and unique ecology were mostly only accessible by boat. It's still fairly unknown to most day adventurers. PWS is pure magic and a staycation destination for locals that know.

I never realized the costal areas are so lush but then again you have lakes and ocean why not plus those mountains waterfalls and of course awesome glaceries. Love all you send to us. Thank you. Not to mention the salmon run, incredible!!!
If you find any more salmonberries, the yellow ones are ripe, too. VERY GENTLY pull on a berry; if it almost falls off by itself, it’s ready. We pick them on Adak; add a little sugar and water to a couple of cups and cook down til thick and spread on pancakes. Yum!

So fascinating! And that cove at the end of the trail - WOW!!! Your aerial shots really showed the beauty of that spot. It is very dog friendly (although we wish more people would follow the leash laws) and mostly drone friendly (outside the National Parks of course). Thank you and thank you for watching!
I was at Whittier and Portage Pass before, Portage Glacier used to have a boat tour that went up to it. You guys got very lucky with hardly no wait to go through the tunnel. Hatcher Pass was a great place I remember too and I look forward to the next video. But one thing- you have not mentioned ice worms. When I was there I heard about ice worms and I thought it was a local fable but one of the glaciers had a sign for ice worms and a local guide pointed them out and sure enough there were these tiny little worms which fed on debris on top of glaciers. I went to one of those ice cream shops later and asked for “ice worm swirl surprise” and got a laugh.
Lol, glad you gotta see Whittier. I think half the people of anchorage have never been there. Beautiful place even on the drive in. Glad y’all really enjoying everything.

I was at Clear AK, 7 hours N of you, in the dark December. I Stayed at a “secret base” that was fully functional connected by tunnels, most who are there, never leave durning the long winters. Was just watching your guys Canyonlands Needles District when I saw this video Alert! Was looking forward to this video and it came out great! I agree with Kathryn that being from Arizona, that the glaciers and the gorgeous greenery and Mountains never get old. Exactly the opposite of what we are used too! When we drove through the tunnel it wasn't raining but when we got over to the other side of the tunnel it was pouring down rain and foggy you could not hardly see nothing thanks for the video I got to really see it better this time another great video God bless y'all take care from North Carolina when are y'all coming back to the Great Smoky Mountains I live two and a half hours away it is really a crowded place I haven't been up there in a long time
Yay you made it to Whittier! Salmonberries come in red, yellow, and orange. Red doesn't dictate doneness. And as someone who forages and did so this summer in Whittier, the berries have been ready since late June which is earlier than normal. You guys by far make the best tourism videos I've seen in Alaska. I like how you include local and Alaska Native history. It's very refreshing. Yay you saw a bear! Sad that you didn't check out Portage or stay in the many free pull outs there. The Trail of Blue Ice is a fun and easy one. Plus, paddling down Portage Creek is fun and Class I that ends on the highway. It's an easy shuttle with a bike.

I was at Whittier and Portage Pass before, Portage Glacier used to have a boat tour that went up to it. You guys got very lucky with hardly no wait to go through the tunnel. Hatcher Pass was a great place I remember too and I look forward to the next video.
But one thing- you have not mentioned ice worms. When I was there I heard about ice worms and I thought it was a local fable but one of the glaciers had a sign for ice worms and a local guide pointed them out and sure enough there were these tiny little worms which fed on debris on top of glaciers. I went to one of those ice cream shops later and asked for “ice worm swirl surprise” and got a laugh.

Wow!!!! I keep telling my husband that we need a van so we can have some of these same experiences!!! Your videos are so fun and inspiring! Alaska is on our bucket list. Hopefully we can make the trip soon!!!
We highly recommend touring Alaska in a van or truck camper. It gives you the ultimate flexibility! We hope you can make it happen!

I was at Clear AK, 7 hours N of you, in the dark December. I Stayed at a “secret base” that was fully functional connected by tunnels, most who are there, never leave durning the long winters. It was an adventure. Great video guys! ~Cara 😊

Was just watching your guys Canyonlands Needles District when I saw this video Alert! Was looking forward to this video and it came out great! I agree with Kathryn that being from Arizona, that the glaciers and the gorgeous greenery and Mountains never get old. Exactly the opposite of what we are used too! I will now return to the Canyonlands video lol

When we drove through the tunnel it wasn't raining but when we got over to the other side of the tunnel it was pouring down rain and foggy you could not hardly see nothing thanks for the video I got to really see it better this time another great video God bless y'all take care from North Carolina when are y'all coming back to the Great Smoky Mountains I live two and a half hours away it is really a crowded place I haven't been up there in a long time

Yay you made it to Whittier! Salmonberries come in red, yellow, and orange. Red doesn't dictate doneness. And as someone who forages and did so this summer in Whittier, the berries have been ready since late June which is earlier than normal.
You guys by far make the best tourism videos I've seen in Alaska. I like how you include local and Alaska Native history. It's very refreshing.

Sad that you didn't check out Portage or stay in the many free pull outs there. The Trail of Blue Ice is a fun and easy one. Plus, paddling down Portage Creek is fun and Class I that ends on the highway. It's an easy shuttle with a bike.
