That first guard you slid into the chair??? It’s on the wrong side. It’s not imperative but the 4 bolts that hold the guard on the mount should be on the inside of the chair with the support from the mount resting on the outside.
Leo Czc Those questions are sorta hard to answer and get an exact. The frame is said to weigh 9.3 lbs, but who knows when they weigh it to get that and what size that is. Does it it have brake mounts, side guard mounts, are you including the back canes and are they fixed or folding, etc etc etc
WoW this chair looks Amazing ! But are you kidding me ? Living in United States I presume, a wheelchair delivered in a box..... mind blowing. And if you need a repair you have to send it in too ? not far of a stretch 🫢 I feel so lucky I live in The Netherlands right now, over here we don't even have to pay for our own wheelchairs #greathealthcare
When it comes to acquiring mobility aids and equipment through the municipality in the Netherlands, individuals have two primary options: the ‘Persoonsgebonden Budget’ (PGB) and ‘Zorg in Natura’. The PGB provides a personal budget allocated by the municipality, empowering users to take an active role in their care. This option allows individuals to compare various aids, select the suppliers they prefer, and negotiate their own contracts. By opting for a PGB, users not only gain control over the type of mobility aid they receive but also take charge of the payment and delivery arrangements, giving them a sense of autonomy in their caregiving journey. On the other hand, ‘Zorg in Natura’ presents a more streamlined process where the municipality assumes responsibility for the selection of mobility aids. In this scenario, the municipality chooses both the type of mobility aid and the company from which it will be purchased, as well as coordinating all logistical aspects. This approach can alleviate the burden of decision-making and administrative tasks from the user, making it a more straightforward option for some. However, it also comes with a trade-off in terms of flexibility since individuals must accept the choices made on their behalf. It is important to note that in both scenarios, the mobility aid-whether it be a wheelchair or another type of assistive device-remains the property of the municipality. Users do not attain ownership of the equipment acquired through either the PGB or Zorg in Natura, which reinforces the notion that the municipality is providing essential support rather than a purchase opportunity. Understanding these two options is crucial for individuals seeking mobility aids, as each pathway offers distinct advantages and limitations depending on personal preferences and needs.
