Shadows of Evil isn’t LITERALLY Atlantis, it’s more of a metaphor for it, with the pocket dimension the city resides in is being “submerged”/hidden from the rest of Dimension 63 by Shadowman/Dark Aether
I think it’s more of a love craftion map based on the book shadow over innsmouth by hp. With the almost alien features of everything.

The rev ciphers are literally impossible to solve. I think they were designed/written wrong or are just completely broken, making them quite literally impossible to decipher.

It doesn't actually "take away" your Juggernog. There are videos on how it works, and it feels practically similar to if it did just do that, but what it actually does is cap your health regen to your health after being zapped by the Wunderwaffe

The baby crying can also be heard on the Zombies Chronicles version of Kino Der Toten, which nearly gave me a heart attack playing that at 3am, and I’m pretty sure the BO1 version too.

The weird dev model that appears on the Shadows of Evil map art is called the "master spawner". It's essentially the base spawn point for all the zombies on the map before they get teleported to their actual spawn point. It's usually invisible or outside the map, but they just forgot to do something about it here.

Idk how people can cope themselves into thinking Tag was the original, intended ending for BO4. It's pretty obvious when you consider the amount of cut content in the files, and content that was planned by 3ARC but never actually released, that they were unfortunately forced to wrap the story with Tag. We know a that 2 year content plan was intended for BO4, but cut short likely due to Cold War, and that several Aether and Chaos maps were in development that were due after AO/Tag. Not to mention that Factions/Newton's Cookbook/Super EE all got cut when they were supposed to come out right around the time 3ARC were moved to work on CW. I hope we get some kind of official answer eventually.
We were gonna get the Great War map but got rev, then Great War was supposed to be in bo4 but bo4 ended up being filler with a retconned ending

Like some others have mentioned, the Der Reise wunderwaffe doesn’t take away juggernog. Reason why is because WaW has the health coded differently from Shi no Numa to Der Riese. With the new health system, they never added in a line of code to check for health regen after getting zapped by the wunderwaffe, therefore the player never regenerates their health. This would make you a one hit if you zapped yourself without jugg also
The Waffe doesn't take away your Jug, it takes away your health regen and leaves you with what your health was when the Waffe shot shocked you

I played vanguard zombies with 2 friends when it came out, one of them saw shi no numa (before the actual map) saw that we could not explore the whole thing then we got off and never played it again (i have like 5 min on vanguard zombies lol)
everyone knows about Damned playing in the background of BO1 maps, but everyone forgets about the loop of Boldmen's city playing in pretty much all the WaW maps, especially verruckt.

a few gamefaqs threads from 2010 say the M14 actually had a built in fire rate nerf that made it so when you fire it too fast it stops you from shooting as a measure to stop modded controllers and people who have good triggerfingers i guess

My idea of the Only the cursed survive entry is referring to Primis. It could be a nod to the fact that they live through the cycle over and over, and, in a sense... are cursed with survival.
In "the Aether" at 1:35:15. it is what the designers used as a mass spawner, which spawned every zombie design/bosses like the keepers, meatballs and bugs in the game of the map.
Morg City always gave me the same vibe Bioshock 2 gave when you got to the small city streets, very worn down Art-Deco style but being worn and ruined away as life went to hell, and the Whole Intro of Richtofen coughing to become the Announcer happens EVERYTIME if you play a local match

28:40 I do think that WAW der riese does occasionally play the jingle in it's "entirety" however if I remember correctly there was originally supposed to be another verse that was cut from the version that currently plays in der riese rather than just the whole PAP jingle not playing in game.
