Do you know how I know you starting filming this a bit before noon on the first Wednesday of the month? Those damn tornado sirens in the background 😂
The revolver snubnose on mine rubbed, added a 2mm spacer. They only rub because VP was supposed to send it with a 52 spur, but shipped with 56 spur. Smaller spur moves the outrunner up just enough to clear it without the spacer
Fried ESC... you did an "oopsy"... 😮 Happens to the best of us! 😅
I’m running the same exact setup. I shimmed the motor plate with a small o ring and good to go! 👍
Good tip!
You need to check neutral position on the transmitter 😮
I remember testing all the ESCs I had made back in the good old days and I bought a nice roll of Velcro that had an amazing glue and matched the best 3M double sided tape I used . I also did brick a Tekin RS while soldering a cap bank which was my fault since I had raised the heat on my soldering station and forgot to bring it down a bit and last I checked it one of te soldering post was a bit off lol. I still like a female style bullet plug on the ESC which can offer some sort of cooling like the solder posts on the Tekin RS and easy plug and unplug without the need to solder on the ESC. Maybe try a lot of flux and a heat gun in case something got too hot while soldering the motor wire and moved a bit. I do enjoy watching people work on electronic stuff.
Fusion rubs too
Do you think the Crawlmaster Mini is small enough and will work in a 1/24 and 1/18 using the provided Furitek out runner that are in them?
The the little bec amp it has, will is run a strong micro servo like the NSDRC RS100?
My vote is throttle calibration.
I would complain to the manufacturer and see what kind of warranty it has,lol
Got mu Revolver snub nose to fit without rubbing stock pinion and spur and my furiteck Komodo 10th scale outrunner combo as well. Both run fine with little marks on the can other than from dirt getting in there.
John did you get the ESC too hot while soldering, is that even a thing. ✌
My guess as well.
Would the Revolver V2 380 be enough to push the VRD?
the 540 SS?? think I've tended to overkill every time I pick out the motor...
how light can you go? without resorting to crazy wheels or....
Yep, either is a good choice
Oooh you broke it. ;-)
You can cut that antenna wire completely in half you just have to expose 31 mm of the inner core length doesn't matter on the gray part of the wire as long as 31mm of the inner core is exposed
is that esc programmable might be that
Sometime the center trim or the dead band make the esc not arming… also if your radio have a setup like 70/30 on gas with those esc must be put on 50/50 but I think this is not the case
I had a issue like this , had to connect to laptop and connect via firmware , not through read settings . It would not connect through read settings. Very odd but works fine now
Last time something like that happened to me, it was just the throttle trim on the controller that was not set properly.
I think you may be right!
@@HolmesHobbieswhen you plug in the esc I think you have to be full throttle for it to set the endpoints
@@CustomRcCanada I just learned the hard way with these ESC's.
I could NOT get it to calibrate with a Sanwa MTS radio system.
1: Needed to put throttle channel into Reverse mode in the setting.
2: Needed to set the throttle type from 7:3 to 5:5 for the throttle trim mid point to be respected and the ESC to ARM. This was also the only cure to get it into calibration mode by holding throttle to Max while powering up.
If you build it exactly as the book says ( using the spur and pinion cover) then it will space the skid plate away from the motor. I also notice if you use the two alluminium stand off's instead of one ally stand off and the plastic reciever plate you will not space the motor plate off the frame properly. I think in the 'spares bag' are some spacers which are needed to be used if you use the two standoff's.
Nice tip! Follow instructions? That's wild! 😆
@HolmesHobbies 🤣 it wasn't clear until I noticed screws being too long. I went back through the manual and worked it out. I don't think the way the pinion cover is mounted is a practical design. It feels a little like an afterthought.
I’m clueless!
27mm is the distance on the antenna
i think you need to cut your losses now and send that VRD my way...
Whats the sirens for? Has there been an emp strike?
Filmed on a Wednesday
Maybe contact the manufacturer.
You won't get the arming sound and corresponding beeps to match your cell count without the TX and RCV being properly bound and on. Also if it still is able to connect to the programmer check that the "Beep" volume is not slid all the way to the left (Disabled.)
It would at least give a no signal error. This is a stock flash, my own firmware
@@HolmesHobbies Now I'm even more interested, please keep us updated if you figure out the issue.
Yeah , that’s a 5 o’clock drawer fer sure
Did you look by your feet behind you?
No problem.
if it were me i would make a very long post on social media about how you have no reason selling things before contacting you at all even though it was prolly my fault anyway...
What do i think, what do I think? why is your left thumb nail painted with finger nail polish dude????
Always has been you’re just noticing
Why wouldn't it be?
If you have a daughter or daughters you should know.
Yeah he has a daughter for sure
Shhhhhhh, it’s lovely!
