I hate that moment when you're at your lowest and loud mouthed family members call you lazy
I think telling people how I felt, making new friends and trying new things are things that I let my fear get in the way of. Great video, it was really helpful!
Hi! I am so happy you found this video lesson valuable :) Thank you for sharing those examples with us. We all let fear get in the way sometimes, but the most important thing is checking ourselves and building that awareness around it so that we can overcome that fear. It's wonderful to have you in the Explearning community. Feel free to let me know if you have any lesson requests (many of our lessons are requests from Explearners!). Happy Explearning ⚡
It has affected me especially when meeting other peoples friends at a bar or similar setting. Stress level 10.
I think religious people handle this problem better because the only judgement they care about is God's so others don't matter to them .
I am 57. My fear of public speaking spun out of control in my 40's. At that time my work would be publicly reviewed. Some people were unnecessarily unkind. This not only hurt personally it also had a negative reflection on my income. So when someone says that it doesn't matter what others say i have experience that says otherwise.
I can’t thank you enough for this video, I’m only 15 and I’ve been struggling with my social anxiety for years. It has stopped me from doing what I love and experiencing new things in school, it also prohibited me from talking to people and making new friends due the fear of being
perceived as a loser. It causes me to just hide in a bubble and just to wear a mask that conceals who I really am.
Hey! 15 years young and you already have the self awareness on this. Good for you. We all go through periods where we fear the judgment of others and experience social anxiety, so you're certainly not alone in this. And the fact that you are addressing it so early on will serve you well in life! Keep up the awesome work 🌟 You got this ⚡
You make such great points! If only people stop caring so much of what others think, they can achieve it all!
Excellent Video! Apologies for the intrusion, I am interested in your opinion. Have you heard the talk about - Peyichael Simplex Precedence (erm, check it on google should be there)? It is a great one off guide for getting rid of shyness and anxiety minus the hard work. Ive heard some awesome things about it and my old buddy Taylor after a lifetime of fighting got amazing results with it.
Hello! I am glad that you enjoyed the video lesson :) I have not heard of that talk, but it's great if it works! If you're interested in boosting confidence (during public speaking, online meetings or in social interaction more broadly) then you might enjoy this playlist: ruclips.net/p/PLSgyHuMB_1oiKmkhefo1iV4r0j-zPKD1w Happy Explearning ⚡
it can be a living nightmare literally.
Hi Sean, indeed it can. Luckily, it is an obstacle that we can surmount! Great to have you in the Explearning community :) Happy Explearning ⚡
I like your point of view Mary. Very clear perspective!
@@TheReminisce777 Thank you, Sean! So glad you found this lesson valuable :))
@@ExplearningCo what's a good Bible study lesson or lessonS on this that I can study and get into my head
I had always avoid my bigger missions just because of this sentence "what people will think about me, about my skin color, about my outfits, about my fat body. I believe that i have so much guts to make progress in my life but i always avoid gatherings, school activities and so much in my 21 years life i can't even explain you. But now its time to grow up, its time to do something and that motivation bring me here
And thank you sooo much Ma'am you explained it very well. One of the best motivational video ❤
Love from Pakistan Ma'am ❤❤❤
Hi Hamza, first of all, thank you for sharing your story. Secondly, I am so glad your journey brought you to Explearning. It's great to have you in the Explearning community ⚡ It sounds like you're now on a mission that you care about, so keep it up! It's a very liberating feeling to not worry so much about what other people think of us. This quote from Eleanor Roosevelt is a great one to think about: “You wouldn’t worry so much about what others think of you if you realized how seldom they do.” Happy Explearning ⚡
@@ExplearningCo Thank you Ma'am ❤
Wow, words of wisdom. I can totally relate, given that I am in my early twenties and I would constantly think about how others would judge me. I would avoid any social interaction with strangers if necessary, but now I've been trying to be myself and not care much about what others think about me. I was also partially distracted by how charming and pretty you look Mary, you look like you're in your late 20's. Thanks for the info.
Hi Kendrick, it's great to hear that you are feeling more confident in social situations! The truth is that everyone cares what people think of them to a certain degree and that we all have some type of social anxiety. Recognizing that reality enables us to address it and equip ourselves with confidence-boosting strategies to help us overcome such obstacles. Here's a confidence-boosting playlist I'm sharing with you: ruclips.net/p/PLSgyHuMB_1oiKmkhefo1iV4r0j-zPKD1w So happy you're in the Explearning community! ⚡ (And thanks for the compliment!)
This helped a little, I'm starting a new year and I want to open up to more ppl be more social. I wanna join the softball team but I'm scared that they'll judge me and I won't be good enough to be on the team.
Just join! Everyone is judging everyone all the time... including you! It's okay 👍 Join otherwise you might have regrets if you don't. Putting it in perspective helps 🙂
Thank you so much for making this video 💖💖💖
I was facing social anxiety so badly and after watching this video I feel so much light and motivated. Keep making wonderful videos like these so it can help others.🥰💓💓💓

I have social anxiety that sometimes leads me to hurt other people's feelings. Sometimes I questioned myself why does people need to have this kind of fear? I'm trying my very best tho to overcome this but still I always end up crying and hurting. Am I too fragile to feel this kind of pain? I wanna get rid of this already. Thankfully I saw ur video. And hopefully this will help me to get through with this and will make clear improvements for myself. 🙏🏻
Hi Maria, thank you for sharing. I am very happy that your found our channel, which hopefully will be a resource for you :) We all have social anxiety, which manifests differently in everyone. I have experienced the same thing. I have a question for you though; why does having anxiety cause you to hurt other people’s feelings? Curious because I had a boss who was continually thinking I was mad at him.
Your speaking Skills made me keep my concentration Still.

A beautiful way to bring it out. Really good.
I have a movement disorder(involuntary movements) and it makes me feel embarrassed when it happens especially at inconvenient times, and that lead me to have anxiety.
Your tips were helpful though, i subscribed to your channel.. keep up the great work :)!

Omg same
It sucks
Mine is terrible that even coming out from my room to eat at the dining table is hard, much more as going out in restaurants to eat with my family. It's crippling. I don't know what to do. :(
A huge amount of love for you
True, I am like that but not as much ? You're too beautiful to not care what others think.
This is helping me so much. Thank you!
You're very welcome, Nicole! So happy you're finding it helpful 😌
What an underrated channel.

i have a job next month and right now im dealing with fear of being outside cause i always seem like im being watched and judged about my personality and how i would panic being outdoors because of it i have stayed indoors for the past week and everyone around me seems to enjoy seeing me like this especially the neighbors who always look at me it annoys me always
I have a similar problem, I applied for a job and I am not ready for my first interview
I'm scared to tell people where I'm from because they might just think about the stereotypes of my country...they might think oh there skin colour is pprb this and they are prob poor. I have cried many times because of this, since I make online friends, mostly that is where it makes me cry. I'm sometimes even scared to tell my age because I'm prob way too young then they have thought i would have been..😭
ya same dude, i mean i was like this, my advice to you is just be you, be confident!! don't wait for the confidence to come to you you give it to yourself no matter of who you are or what you look like you should be confident you don't need to please anyone or like if they think like this it's their problem you should never judge anyone based of their country prove them wrong and you can do it trust yourself say that you can do it AND YOU CAN!! ˢᵒʳʳʸ ⁱᶠ ⁱ ʷᵃˢⁿᵗ ᶜˡᵉᵃʳ ᵉⁿᵒᵘᵍʰ ⁱ ᵈᵒⁿᵗ ʳᵉᵃˡˡʸ ᵏⁿᵒʷ ʰᵒʷ ᵗᵒ ᵉˣᵖˡᵃⁱⁿ ˡᵒˡ

My biggest struggle is worrying about saying something or it might come out offensive and someone will get mad, which is why I stay quiet and reserved. Like for example if I was approaching a group of people and they didn't want me to be a part of it, how would I handle that?
Think of the value you could be adding to the conversation. Maybe you have an inspirational message to get out there that will transform someone's life or save someone a lot of discomfort. It's easy to think about what we're doing or saying wrong, or fear saying something wrong, but changing your mindset can really help you see that you can provide so much value in your conversations. Also, what if THEY DO WANT you to be part of it? :) Don't let them miss out on the opportunity to have an authentic conversation with you!
@@ExplearningCo well let's just say if I say something or do something awkward that might offend someone or something doesn't go the way I anticipated, how can I recover from that?
@@wiisalute We find ways of moving on. As long as it's not an intention offensive or insulting communication exchange, don't live in fear of saying the wrong thing. Speak your mind, but of course be respectful and sensitive towards others' feelings. Maybe youve been hurt before and so you learned to be cautious to not offend other people becoz you already know it feels.
@@jamaicaorlando198 well last year I lost some close friends of mine. Apparently I said jokes that I thought were funny, but to them they were offensive. And the messed up part is that they didn't event tell me before. A girl friend of mine told me I made everybody feel awkward and she ended the friendship right in my face. I dont want that to happen again with my new friends I made recently.
Great video! Keep up the good work!
very much helpful
I have social anxiety and fear of emebersment(sorry i just cant spell it right) i have huge problems with PE and school itself people back in 5th grade would be annoyed would yell at me for not knowing certain activitys (in pe),thats the problem i have been dealing for since 5th grade, and im afraid to raise my hand in class that i think people would make fun of me be angry at me for not getting the question right and even not using a correct word. i really just cant stop thinking about what other would about me i just cant help myself i wish i wouldnt care i even cant walk right because i think people judge me how i walk, I have been trying didfrent metods but it just wouldnt work. I would sometimes even faint of the fear and anxiety
Hi Elena, thank you for sharing this. I am so sorry this is happening. You are not alone, social anxiety creeps into all of our lives and recognizing that is a step in the right direction! The fear of what other people think of us is limiting and holds us back from doing the things we enjoy, accomplishing our goals, and being the person we want to be. What helps me is remembering that time is precious and if I'm not doing something (I enjoy) because I'm afraid how I'll be judged then I'm not honoring myself and my life. I wouldn't be living my truth if I worried about how people perceived me. It took me a while to understand this, but once I did it felt like a huge weight lifted off my shoulders! The goal should be to enjoy life each and every day and appreciate the little things. I've learned over time that letting go of others' opinions of us is very liberating and I'm much happier when I stopped caring what others think of me. People judge others even if they are "perfect" and "do everything right" and we know that perfection doesn't exist. We cannot be liked by everyone, and that is OK -- that's just not how it works. Realizing this takes some time, but by working on it a little bit every day we can overcome these limiting beliefs! I think this playlist on confidence-building might help: ruclips.net/p/PLSgyHuMB_1oiKmkhefo1iV4r0j-zPKD1w Give these lessons a listen/watch and let me know if there is anything else I can answer. Please keep your chin up and be proud of who you are. You don't need to change for anyone. The most courageous thing you can do is to be yourself. 🌟Stay strong.⚡

Right at the moment that you were saying we're our own worst critic, I was thinking negative things about myself, so your words had really good timing to snap me out of it. I wonder if you've ever been judged unfairly in the past? I mean, you seem perfect, but I'm sure you must have been given negative comments that weren't truthful. Life's about separating the unfair criticism from the constructive criticism, isn't it?
@Ruribitz I'm so glad those words resonated with you right when you needed them! 😊 It’s amazing how we can be so hard on ourselves, even without realizing it sometimes. And yes, you’re absolutely right - I've certainly experienced unfair criticism in the past, and it’s never easy. Learning to separate what’s constructive from what’s just noise can make such a big difference. It’s all part of the journey of self-acceptance and growth. Thank you for sharing this; it’s a great reminder for all of us to be kinder to ourselves! 🌱
I can't do step one because nothing motivates me.
