the han kang was published in korean in 2021 and since then has been published in various translations and now the english translation is being published in 2025!:) it can be a bit confusing with translations on goodreads but the original publishing date is always when the original language edition was published
and also the lamb! is a uk author so it's being published in the uk first (30/01) and then in the us in february. goodreads tends to put the us version as the like auto edition when you click on the book so that's why that date was appearing for you probably
and the sangu mandanna .. idk whats up with that one lol. it's another uk author and uk bookselling websites say 29/04 but goodreads says 15/07 for the us version and 06/12 for uk version so like idk but that's already been pushed back so like there's probably just some confusion.. (and sorry for all these comments but hopefully it will help you to make sense of publication dates in future
The wild geese bookshop’s site lists a Grady Hendrix event on the 23rd at the theater across the street in Franklin. I sadly can’t go, but wanted to share! Looks like the ticket includes a singed book and he’ll be signing books after his talk ☃️
My anticipated releases: Immortal by Sue Lynn Tan- Jan 7, 2025 (btw I'm heartbroken that I can't go to her meet and greet in NYC, but I luckily was able to preorder a signed copy that'll be here by the 15th of January. Anyone who's able to go, whether it be NYC, or the other locations she's going to, congrats!) The Secret World of Briar Rose by Cindy Pham (withcindy) -Release Date TBA The Dark Shores Book 2, by Elliot Brooks - Release Date TBA Percy Jackson (senior year adventures, book 3) -Release Date TBA (but my guess would be some point in September?) That's all for now. 😊
@@kerrinorthrop5499 I can't wait! I believe you still can pre-order a signed copy off of Barnes and Noble if you're interested. If not, they have the regular deluxe edition too.
went to add rainfall market to my wishlist. sounds interesting! i actually skipped the lamb, which would’ve been a subscription box book for me. i read until picking bodies apart and that was it for me. 🤷🏼♀️ i’m very much looking forward to the thriller famous last words by gillian macallister. pretty much blindly preordered it as i really liked the two other books by this author that i’ve listened to via audiobook. thanks for putting this together - great titles!
I swear I commented these already but they're gone now, thanks RUclips. A couple I have on my TBR that I think you might also like the sound of are: "Creep" by Emma van Straaten (From a blistering new voice in dark literary fiction, an unsettling portrait of loneliness, obsession, and identity which asks: if a stranger was left alone in your house, how well could they truly get to know you-enough to fall in love with you?) "Blob" by Maggie Su (A humorous and deeply moving debut novel in the vein of Bunny and Convenience Store Woman about a young woman who tries to shape a sentient blob into her perfect boyfriend.) And "Greenteeth" by Molly O'Neill (From an outstanding new voice in cozy fantasy comes Greenteeth, "a joyful, warm-hearted" (H. G. Parry) tale of fae, folklore, and found family, narrated by a charismatic lake-dwelling monster with a voice unlike any other, perfect for fans of T. Kingfisher.)
Ah The Rainfall Market is in my bookshop already! I was debatimg with myaelf if I should read it. Like if it is for 13year-olds or I can read it and find it good at least.🤔
I had a few of these on my list already, but I just added the John Marrs. Some others on my list for Jan-March: Wake Up and Open Your Eyes by Clay McLeod Chapman Hammajang Luck by Makana Yamamoto The Way Up is Death by Dan Hanks Death of the Author by Nnedi Okorafo At the Bottom of the Garden by Camilla Bruce Listen to Your Sister by Neela Viel Black Woods, Blue Sky by Eowyn Ivey Needy Little Things by Channelle Desamours You Are Fatally Invited by Ande Pliego Close Your Eyes and Count to 10 by Lisa Unger Something in the Walls by Daisy Pearce Fable for the End of the World by Ava Reid This Book Will Bury Me by Ashley Winstead The Buffalo Hunter Hunter by Stephen Graham Jones
