Minutes before posting this it was announced that Dragon Cursed by Elise Kova has been pushed to September 30th 2025 instead of the date I share in this video! I will try to update as more changes happen as well!
My best friend wrote The Trials of Darkness (Kathryn Breaux)!! I’ve been watching your videos for a long time and when I tell you I SCREAMED when I saw her cover pop up on the screen! So excited that you mentioned it. It’s SO GOOD and I hope you love it!
Herakles, or Heracles, is Hercules's Greek name. Most modern stories still call him by his Roman name, even if everything else is Greek. Probably because more people know him as Hercules than Herakles.
I just finished listening to Jade Legacy, and it was so good. I cried. I didn’t know she was coming out with the new book. I’m definitely going to add that to my TBR.🏆
@@CoverswithCassidy Similar to The Starlight Heir is Rose in Chains by Julie Soto (romance author going into romantasy) and sounds great, and I'm excited to read it.
2025 is stacked with new releases, and I’m here for it! I’m also super excited for Onyx Storm, as well as Shield of Sparrows by Devney Perry. This is Devney Perry’s first fanro. She usually writes contemporary romance. Also Firebird by Juliette Cross sounds really good, and I Loved her Stay a Spell series!
Difficult to pick a single one i'm MOST excited for but top five would have to be (no particular order): The Knight and the Moth by Rachel Gillig Tenderly, I Am Devoured by Lyndall Clipstone This Ends in Embers by Kamilah Cole Water Moon by Samantha Sotto Yambao Death of the Author by Nnedi Okorafor
Excellent video! Thanks for making this. I'm so excited or all these competition books, but I also have a competition book almost written that I hope to query or submit in 2025. :D Here are some of the books I'm anticipating. Q1: All Better Now by Neal Shusterman, The Underwood Tapes by Amanda Dewitt, and Needy Little Things by Chanelle Desamours Q2: Murder Between Friends by Liz Lawson, The gods Time Forgot by Kelsie Sheridan Gonzalez, and Great Big, Beautiful Life by Emily Henry Q3: With a Vengeance by Riley Sager, Cleopatra by Saara El-Arifi, and Legendary Frybread Drive-In: Intertribal Stories, edited by Cynthia Leitich Smith Q4: gods and Gamemasters by Rosaria Munda, An Ocean Apart by Jill Tew, and The Experiment by Rebecca Stead I'm also happy that you brought Exquisite Ruin to my attention. It has some things I don't normally go for--namely sorcerers and demons---but THAT COVER. I kinda want to pick up the book now.
My most anticipated 2025 release is a tie between Sunrise on the Reaping and Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil...I've already preordered both of these mostly because Bury Our Bones will come signed 🏆
I love how we're all excited to see Haymitch's absolute tragedy of a life play out 😅 Poor Haymitch 😅 But also, gimme all the tragic details, please! 😂 Also, I am really hoping that we'll see Haymitch's original actor in the movie in some capacity. As well as president Snow, tho I don't know whether they would use the young actor they used in The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes or someone older 🤔Probably someone older, I guess? 🤔
I wasn't super interested in The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes when it came out, but Sunrise on the Reaping may be what I need to pull me back into a Hunger Games reread.
🏆 Some books coming out in 2025 that you didn’t mention are: A Language of Dragons by S. F. Williamson out January 7th, Lightfall by Ed Crocker out January 14th, The Way Up is Death by Dan Hanks out January 14th, Liar’s Kingdom by Christine Calella out January 14th, Carving Shadows into Gold by Brigid Kemmerer out January 28th, and Emily Wilde’s Compendium of Lost Tales by Heather Fawcett out February 11th. These are ones I’m really excited for in the first quarter. Let me know if any of these interest you as well.
the cover of Wake Up and Open Your Eyes gives me the heebie jeebies. I hope it's a good book and not just a good cover - what is the one (or more book) I should read from this author?
I will forgot this hahaha but this is good to know, I assumed it was the same "character". but just thought the other was changing it, but very good to know
@angelamccollister no actually I know cassidy and regularly watch and enjoy Cassidys content. I was just letting her know that it is the same person. There was no need for your snarky comment.
Calling it now, the childhood friends to lovers in Daughter of the Drowned won’t be endgame because I can’t have nice things 😭 Especially with Death as the other love interest
I wonder if there will be a Hunger Games book about the Hunger Games that the Capitol's children play in. At the end of Mockingjay they vote to hold one more Games to punish the Capitol 🤔🏆

Cassidy enjoying an amnesia story would be a big plot twist for 2025!
I’m also super excited for Sunrise on the Reaping. I’ve always wanted Haymitch’s story so I’m really looking forward to it.
Same!
anticipating a lot of these too - even some of the fantasy romance - shocking! :) hoping for a fantastic 2025 book year!
Onyx Storm is gonna be an EVENT, I can't wait!!! And okay hello living for the competition vibes here, bring it on babyyy
I pause to grab a drink, a pen, and a notebook, and I'm ready to make my TBR feel as stuffed as most people are after Christmas lunch and dinner😄
hahahahaha I truly am about too

So many good new releases, so little time!! 😅🏆
What a blessed birthday to have on March 25th. I really have to try Eva Chase 🏆

I love to be hurt in my stories truly hahahah, yeah I hope we see both of them as well that would be really nice!
I got the ARC of Rose Bargains and loved it! I rated it 5 stars. It’s such a good bingeble book. I really hope you like it!
ooooh this is exciting
Why are all the covers next year sooooo pretty?! RIP our wallets
I wasn't super interested in The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes when it came out, but Sunrise on the Reaping may be what I need to pull me back into a Hunger Games reread.

@@CoverswithCassidy you’re welcome!

I loved ghost eaters by the same author. One of my favourite horror books. Yeah he has some of the best covers imo they've all been so good
Why is nobody talking about Dryad Storm, the 4th ook in the Black Witch Chronicles. It comes out January 7th
Heracles is pronounced 'heraclees' and that is the Greek name for him . Hercules is the Latin name but it is the same person :) x
I will forgot this hahaha but this is good to know, I assumed it was the same "character". but just thought the other was changing it, but very good to know
Came here to say this. Lol
@angelamccollister no actually I know cassidy and regularly watch and enjoy Cassidys content.
I was just letting her know that it is the same person.

I’ve read seven of these already 🤫
OMG WHAT REALLY that's exciting, what the best one
🏆 ☺️
Elise Kova's covers are too good, I really need to try at least one of them but I say that about so many books. 😅
I feel like her new release could be a good place to start but it did get delayed
I am at excited for breath of theDragon because Shannon Lee is Bruce Lee‘s daughter
Oh that's exciting
Calling it now, the childhood friends to lovers in Daughter of the Drowned won’t be endgame because I can’t have nice things 😭 Especially with Death as the other love interest
I assumed death was a childhood friend 👀👀
@ I was hoping that too but synopsis sadly says childhood friend’s name is Tino. But maybe I’ll get lucky!
🏆
🏆🏆🏆
I wonder if there will be a Hunger Games book about the Hunger Games that the Capitol's children play in. At the end of Mockingjay they vote to hold one more Games to punish the Capitol 🤔🏆
Ohhhh this would be good. Cause like the world goes round in circles. For some reason I thought this vote was lost tho
@@CoverswithCassidy me too! Then I reread it after the Ballad of Songbird and Snakes...Katniss breaks the tie vote in favor 🤯
Hi there Hi there
